“I’ve been asking myself another question,” Gray continued a moment later. He moved directly in front of her and looked down at her. “It’s a tough one, and I don’t know what the answer is.”
She frowned. “What?”
His gaze locked with hers. “Can you fall in love with me again?”
The relief hit her so hard that Alana wobbled and might have lost her footing had Gray not taken hold of her. Her eyes watered with happy tears. Actually, the happiness caused other reactions, too. She suddenly felt giddy and light-headed.
And completely happy.
“Absolutely,” she said. “Except I really don’t have to fall. I’m already in love with you.”
Now his smile was dazzling. And scorching. Because, hey, this was Gray. “Even better,” he concluded, “since I’m in love with you.”
Alana didn’t gush out areally?or do a happy dance. That’s because she had other things to occupy her mouth and her body. Gray pulled her to him and gave her his best hot cowboy kiss ever.
