“Cedar Grove? I know it well. My aunt and uncle live there. They used to own the winery.”

“You’re related to the Greenes?”

“Sure am! Used to spend a few weeks a year with them in the summers.”

The realization hit me. I knew this guy.

Cohen and his two sisters used to visit every summer. The girls in town would go crazy over the mysterious stranger that grew hotter each year.

The last time I saw him was when we were both teenagers. We never spoke but a face like that is hard not to notice. And now he had the body of a man who had seen hard work.

Just as we approached the wedding venue, a large black luxury SUV pulled up. Drayven jumped out of the driver’s seat. He was doubling as chauffeur and bodyguard during the weekend—and husband would be added to the list very soon.

I saw Dominic next. He pushed the door open and a giant grin spread across his face when he saw Weston and Sarah.

“Father, what impeccable timing,” said Weston from behind me. “I was just telling your guest here, Ms. Hensley, that you and mother couldn’t wait to catch up with her about all her family’s latest ventures.”

Sarah looked from Weston to Dominic in confusion.

“Let’s not mix business with family time. We’re here for Lucy and Drayven,” said Dominic feigning kindness.

“Oh, no,” said Weston in his signature ‘fuck off’ grin. “I insist. I assure you it is fascinating what they’ve been able to do.”

He walked Sarah to his father. Sarah awkwardly greeted him as Evelyn finally got out of the vehicle.

Dominic was done causing a scene so he took Sarah’s arm in one of his, and Evelyn’s in the other, escorting both women to the entrance.

Weston looked relieved to be rid of her.

“You must be the groom,” Cohen said to Drayven who had stood by Lucy and held her close to his side.

Drayven nodded silently as they shook hands.

“Well, let’s see what the Ca’ Montague Vineyard has to offer you folks,” Cohen said with a dashing smile.

He gave me a wink, and I bit my lip.

Everyone followed him through the huge double doors of the venue while escorted by someone.

Everyone but me, that is, until Weston suddenly appeared by my side and took my arm in his without saying a word. I couldn’t pull away in protest. His biceps had me in a lock hold.

I glared up at him, and his eyes were sharp and heated. He shook his head and drew me with him.

We said nothing out loud, but the silent exchange told me everything.

He was jealous.
