“Open your eyes. Watch me just as I’m watching you.”

She did, her eyes fluttering open and meeting his greedy stare. But when she noticed the rippling of his arms and the tendons straining in his neck, she nearly lost her breath. She wasn’t the only one he was pleasuring.

Her gaze trailed down, fixating on the fist he was using to pump his swelling erection. “You see what you do to me?Your pleasure maddens me.My addiction.”He pumped faster, plunged his fingers deeper. “Get ready... to feel my seed on you.”

Hearing that, andwantingto feel it, was all it took to send Sophia over the edge. Pleasure shot through her as her sex began clenching around his fingers.

“Gonna… spill!”

Fueled by her arousal, she couldn’t hide her anticipation. “Yes!Please, please!”

Sophia watched in awe as he let out a guttural groan, his seed shooting forward, its hot liquid branding her stomach, marking her.

He slowly thrust against his fist a few more times, never taking his eyes off her as he did. Eyes that burned with new purpose, as if his purpose washer. “Addictive fey.”

“That was…amazing.” Though amazing wasn’t a powerful enough word to explain what she was feeling right now.

He shot her a cocky, triumphant grin, reaching for a towel to clean off her stomach. “And it will continue to be so. Each and every night.”

His words should’ve excited her, but they filled her with dread instead. The two of them wouldn’t have the luxury of spending every night together without worry. They didn’t have time. It was very possible that tonight would be their last.

“But Antonio, we could bedeadby tomorrow night.”

Chapter Thirty-Seven

Antonio Payne

The following morning Antonio found himself entranced by Sophia as he watched her train with an elf. Antonio was awed by the way Sophia danced circles around her opponent, striking him with absolute precision time and time again. His heart welled with pride for this fey.

Hisfey.

“Ah fuck. How many times is that, Cauladra?” The elf asked the woman observing from a distance after he was struck, yet again, by Sophia.

Cauladra smirked, her blue eyes and pin straight hair a mirror image of the elf’s Sophia was battling. “I lost count at twenty-six,” she shrugged. “Sorry, Conall.”

“I can’t help but think you’re lying, sweet sister of mine.”

Cauladra raised an amused brow. “Sweet? That’s a new one.”

Antonio couldn’t help but smile, entertained by their bantering. It was the first time Antonio smiled since last night.

But Antonio, we could bedeadby tomorrow night.

Antonio shivered at the memory of Sophia’s words, words that prematurely ended their night.

Antonio had become enraged, the image of Sophia’s death clouding his vision and rousing the beast inside him. Fearing it might rise around her again, Antonio decided to take a walk. Bythe time he returned Sophia was already sleeping. Not wanting to disturb her, he settled himself into the other bed, though he wanted nothing more than to lay beside her for the rest of the night.

Now, as he watched Sophia skillfully clash weapons with Conall, his confidence in her abilities increased. She would last long in this tournament, hopefully providing Casper with more than enough time to find a solution to this mess.

Hopefully.

The clock was still ticking.Tick, tock, Casper. Tick, tock.

“Another round?” Sophia asked Conall.

“You don’t give up. Do you, energizer bunny?”

“Never.” Sophia grinned, enthusiastically raising her sword, urging Conall to do the same.
