“I would let those SEALs kidnap and torture me,” Maurice mumbled. “In exchange for this treatment, of course. Totally worth it. That one who drove us here isespeciallydelicious.”

I laughed. “Brady?”

Maurice sighed and sipped his wine. “Brady. I could fall in love with a Brady. As long as he doesn’t open his mouth. That Boston accent is not pleasant.”

“Aw, I think it’s cute,” I said.

“You would.” Maurice flipped open the room service booklet. “Shall we order six filets? I’ll only eat one, but I want to feel like a Numidian king who has way more food than he needs.”

There was a noise at the door, and a swiping of a keycard. The door swung open. I started to get up and tell whoever it was that the room was occupied and we didn’t need any maid service, but then Rogan strode inside.

“No knock?” Maurice asked. “Awfully presumptive of you.”

Rogan held up the keycard. “I paid for this room. And I just saw the massage team leave. Getting comfortable, are we?”

I raised my wine glass in a toast. “I had a long day watching two hellish children. I needed to relax.”

“And I needed to help her,” Maurice announced.

“How are the boys?” I asked. “Have you given them an evening routine?”

Rogan leaned against the wall and crossed his arms. “We’re working on it. It’s not easy.”

“It’ll get easier every day as long as you’re consistent. Dinner time, then bath time, then bed time.” I cocked my head. “So what brings you to my hotel room at this time of night?”

Rogan glanced at Maurice. “I, uh, thought Heather would be alone.”

Maurice gasped. “Girl, youdidget a sugar daddy!” He looked defiantly at Rogan. “Wewere about to order dinner before you barged in here.”

“Maurice, I’m sure you can find plenty to do in the hotel,” I said.

“There’s a full spa downstairs,” Rogan added. “They have a bar with snacks, too.”

Maurice downed the rest of his wine and jumped to his feat. “I suppose I’ll find some hot young thing who gets paid to put his hands on me. I could go for a facial right now.” He winked at me. “And after the facial, I’ll visit the spa!”

Rogan barked a laugh.

Maurice rounded on him. “No! You’re not allowed to laugh, Mr. sexy kidnapper man!”

Rogan’s smile disappeared. “You heard about that, huh?”

“He’s my best friend,” I explained. “I tell him everything.”

“Mmm hmm,” Maurice said. “I know all about what you and your sexy Boston roommate did.”

The head of HLS Security frowned at me. “He met Brady?”

“Who do you think chauffeured us here?” Maurice asked. “I’m not taking nobusto the Four Seasons.”

“How about you, uh, find that spa so Heather and I can talk business?”

“Yeah, I’ll bet you want toget down to businesswith her.” Maurice blew me a kiss, put on his Four Seasons slippers, and disappeared out into the hall.

“You have business you want to discuss?” I asked.

Rogan smiled. “That was just an excuse to be alone with you.”

I let out a mocking gasp. “No. You don’t say!”
