She rolled her eyes at him.

“This thing,” Furio said, gesturing at our circle. “Between us and Amber. We should discuss it now that we are all here together.”

There was an awkward silence. Melinda sipped her champagne and tried to look at all four of us at once from above the rim while pretending she wasn’t interested in the situation.

Furio frowned at the group. “I do not understand the reason for the discomfort. We were all aware of this situation, yes?”

“Sure, we are,” Owen said smoothly. “But I don’t think we expected to discuss it as a group.”

“Is there anything to talk about?” Jude asked.

“We could discuss what happens now. And in the future,” Furio said.

They all looked at me. My mouth suddenly went dry.

“I don’t really know what to say,” I told them. “I don’t know what to do.”

“The path forward is clear to me,” Furio said.

Owen crossed one leg over the other, attempting to appear casual. “Sure. You think Amber should be withyou, alone.”

“Of course not,” Furio replied. “I am in Italy, and Amber is here. And despite my best efforts, she does not wish to work foreTodo. No, the simple solution is for the three of us to continue sharing her.”

I gave a start. “Really?”

“But of course,” Furio said simply, as if he were discussing whether they should order an appetizer. “It is a splendid arrangement. She is in very good hands while I am in Italy. And such a wonderful woman, so full of life and energy, is too much for any one man. Yes, I believe we should continue sharing her. Do you disagree?”

“I…” Jude adjusted his glasses, looking at me and then Furio again. “I do not disagree. But I must admit I am surprised you are cool with all of this.”

“We share a company with ease,” Furio pointed out.

“I am not the same as a tech company,” I pointed out.

“No,” Furio said, smiling lovingly at me. “You are so much more.”

I realized that this was the final piece of the puzzle I had been waiting for. Today had been a flurry of potential change, and I had avoided all of it… But the biggest thing I didn’t want to change was the situation with my love life. I wanted to continue seeing them all, because I couldn’t possibly choose between them.

But they were telling me I didn’t have to choose. I could continue my relationships with Owen and Jude, individually and together, and then I could see Furio when he was in town. I could have it all.

“Are we in agreement, then?” Furio asked. “It is acceptable for me to continue my relationship with Amber, just as you two will continue yours with her?”

“Fine by me,” Jude said.

Owen slowly nodded. “You know what? Yeah. I wasn’t sure how I felt about a third guy, but I think I’m coming around to the concept. Especially if it makes Amber happy.” He pointed at Furio. “And as long as you don’t suddenly move to San Francisco and take up a bunch of her time.”

“No promises!” Furio said with a chuckle.

Owen leaned forward and shook his hand, and then Jude did the same. I gawked at them with mock offense. And a littlegenuineoffense.

“What did I just say? I’m not a company. This isn’t a merger and acquisition!”

“I don’t know,” Owen said slyly. “Being with you has created a ton of paperwork.”

“Tell me about it,” Melinda muttered, which made everyone laugh.

I hugged Furio and kissed him, then did the same with Jude. Finally Owen wrapped me in his arms, kissing me just a little bit longer than the others had.

“I can’t promise I won’t be a little competitive with you,” he whispered, a mischievous grin on his face.
