I was amazed at how good it felt not to hide anymore. Sure, we had to remain professional around the office. We couldn’t make out in the kitchen or anything. But I could leave with whoever I wanted, or show up in the morning at the same time as Jude or Owen without anyone raising an eyebrow.

The people around the office did begin to notice that I was simultaneously dating two men. There were whispers, and sidelong glances, the same as there would be for any workplace gossip.

One evening, I was getting an energy drink when the Wills walked into the kitchen.

“Hiya, boss lady,” Will Crawley said.

Will Won stared at me awkwardly. He had been doing that for a while now. I sighed and turned to him with my hands on my hips.

“Out with it, Won. What’s the matter?”

He gave me an uncomfortable grin. “It’s, uh…”

“Just ask what you want to ask.”

He hesitated like it was a trap, then said in a rush: “Are you dating both of them? Mr. March and Mr. Cauthon?”

“Yes,” I said. “I am.”

“But, like… how does that work? Isn’t it kind of…” He fumbled around for the word.

Will Crawley gave him a soft smack on the back of the head. “If I was dating two women, you’d high-five me and tell me I was a player. Why is it different if a woman dates two men?”

“I don’t know…”

“Ms. Moltisanti is a badass. You know that. Everyone knows that. If she wants to date both of them, there’s nothing wrong with that.”

I gave Crawley an appraising look. I had pegged him as being far more traditional. He was the last person I would have expected to come to my defense.

Nobody bothered me about it after that—not Will Won or anyone else.

The Hope for the Future Fund held a charity auction in March. Both Owen and Jude joined the fund and made sizable donations. They claimed it was because it was a good charity and they wanted to give back, but I knew they were trying to compete with Furio.

I hadn’t seen Furio in weeks. He’d been busy acquiring two new companies in Europe: a cryptocurrency platform in Greece, and a blockchain support business in Switzerland. Both of them would supplement the rapidly-growingeTodo, which would in turn help ACS thanks to the coming integration with our platform.

“Every time I see you,” Furio said as we slow-danced, “it feels like the first time all over again.”

“You mean when you saw me get dragged off the rooftop deck for my sister’s birthday?” I said.

His dark eyes narrowed. “When I saw you at ACS. You are every bit as beautiful now as you were then.”

“I should hope so,” I replied, nodding down at my gown. “Back then I was probably wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Tonight I brought my A-game.”

Furio shook his head. “You were dressed quite sexy that day. A pencil skirt and a cream-colored blouse. You, and everyone else in the office, were dressed nicely for the arrival of the billionaire Series A investor.”

“Oh yeah. I do remember that, now. We thought we needed to impress you.”

His hand drifted lower on my back, brushing against the top of my ass. “You impressed me very much. But not in the way you intended.”

Furio and I danced for two more songs, and then Owen cut in for a while. When we were done, I found Jude standing awkwardly by one of the bars, sipping a Seven and Seven and watching everyone else. I made him put down the drink and dragged him out on the dance floor for a song.

The three of them took turns with me after that. Jude was a bad dancer, but it was cute how he tried, glancing at me to see if I approved. Owen, of course, was a very good dancer. But not even he could compete with Furio’s smooth movements.

“Probably took ballroom dancing lessons as a kid,” Owen muttered.
