Sex had never been a priority in my life. It was nice and all, but it wasn’t the be-all, end-all to me. At least, not until I started working here. Now that I was bouncing back and forth between Jude and Owen, I couldn’t get enough. It was like my libido had been hibernating all this time, but now it had crawled out of its cave and was ready to party.

Being with both of them also made me feel sexy in a way I never had before. All my life, I had been the awkward nerdy girl who would rather make fun of the boys at school instead of vying for their attention. I was used to being on the outskirts of popularity, gazing inward.

Now, I was smack dab in the middle of their attention. And it made me wonder why I had waited so long to do this.

I came into work early the next morning. Jude was the only other person there; Melinda usually didn’t arrive until nine, two hours from now. Nobody else came in before ten.

“You’re here early,” I said when I saw him in his office.

“I didn’t sleep well, so I figured I would come in.”

I raised an eyebrow. “Any reason for that? Perhaps your bed was too big and empty?”

He gave me that boyish grin of his. “I think that was part of it.”

“Last night was movie night with my sister,” I said, strolling into his office. “I’m sorry you missed me. I’ll make it up to you tonight.”

Jude pressed the button that instantly fogged his office windows so nobody could see inside. “Why wait?”

Before I could answer, he grabbed me and pulled me down into his lap. His lips were on my neck, then my chest, and I craned my head back and moaned until he carried me over to the couch and made love to me in the early morning hours.

Owen arrived a few hours later, flashing me averysexy grin as he passed by my office. I blew him a kiss, which made him smile even harder.

I worked for a few hours, and had a meeting with Nancy, Dave, and the Wills to go over some of the upcoming projects on the roadmap. When I returned to my office, there was a message blinking on my screen.

March, Owen: Hey, come here when you get a sec.

Moltisanti, Amber: Kind of busy. Sorry.

March, Owen: Just do it. You won’t regret it.

I didn’t know what he had planned, and it was risky for us to do anything flirty in the middle of the day like this. But my curiosity had to be sated, so I got up and walked over to Owen’s corner office.

But it was empty.

Moltisanti, Amber: I was just in your office. You’re not there.

March, Owen: Who said I was there?

Moltisanti, Amber: Where are you, then?

March, Owen: I’m not going to tell you.

Moltisanti, Amber: Only girls are allowed to play hard-to-get. It’s not sexy when a guy does it.

He didn’t respond. And I wasn’t being honest with him. Playing hard-to-getwassexy, at least when Owen did it. I craved the sight of him, and whatever it was he had in store for me.

I went downstairs. Melinda had a gaggle of new hires starting today. They were part of a new marketing team, so they weren’t directly under me. But they were clustered in a group of cubicles next to Nancy and Dave, and were chatting excitedly about an advertising campaign that was to be their first project. Advanced Crypto Solutions had come a long way since the big, empty office I first walked into.

Owen wasn’t in the kitchen, or any of the conference rooms. Then I realized where he must be. Sure enough, the gym lights were on and Owen was standing in a squat rack, clad only in shorts and a tight-fitting tank top.

“You need a spotter?” I teased. “Afraid of dropping the weight, huh? Guess you’re not as strong as you think you are.”

“No spotter needed,” he said, reaching up to grip the pull-up bar that was built into the squat rack. “I just thought you would want to enjoy the show. Especially after you enjoyed it so much the last time.”

I pursed my lips as he began doing pull-ups. The muscles in his upper back tightened and flexed together, tan skin pulling taut and then loosening again. Through the mirror on the wall, Owen smirked at me.

“I wasn’t ogling you the other day in the gym,” I said, glancing over my shoulder to make sure nobody was within earshot. Just to be safe, I walked closer to him to make sure our conversation remained private. “That was before you and I had done anything.”
