I finger-fuck her rougher to prove my point. I'll make her forget. She's soaking wet already, and my fingers slide in and out with ease. Her hungry lips search for mine, finding them in a messy kiss, our tongues battling for control. I already know I have nothing; the longer I'm with her, the more I know I have to give in to the intensity she creates. She can have all the control. I will be whoever she wants me to be, as long as she stays with me.

Her hands have moved down my back, and she tugs at my briefs, wanting them off. I sit up a bit so I can help her remove them and drag her panties off as well. The plane drops suddenly, forcing me back on top of her.

She freezes, looking at me, worried. "Should we check on that?"

"Just a little turbulence, baby. If they’re worried, they will let us know." I could care less about the situation of the plane right now. I can think of a lot worse ways to die than with my cock buried deep inside of her as our plane crashes into the ocean. I climb over her, spreading her legs so I can push straight inside of her.

"Condom, Heath."

I pause. "Do you want me to stop? We didn't use one this morning." She looks back at me, shocked. I thought she would have realized, but I guess she was half asleep, and I should have been more responsible. "You're on birth control, aren't you?" I stutter out, realizing I really should have asked her that question this morning.

"Yes, but it's not totally safe. We found that out once, remember?" She shoves at my chest.

"I can get one if you want me to?" I give her the choice, but I already know how I feel about her. I lean back so I can look at her properly; I need to see her reaction. "We have one kid together. I don't care if I get you pregnant again. I want more children with you, Millie," I tell her, plain and simple.

"Heath, you don’t know what you’re talking about," she warns, but she doesn't stop me.

"I do. But it doesn't matter anyway, you’re covered, so just let me fuck you like this." I roll my hips into her again.

She nods giving me the go-ahead. Her body rises off the bed, meeting mine. "We'll talk about this later," she mutters, letting me move inside of her. And yeah, we will. I'm going to talk to her about a lot of things—kids, marriage, a life together, I want it all, and I know how crazy that makes me sound after only a few weeks, but I don't care. I'm in love with her, and I know what I want, and some French asshole won't be taking her away from me.

I roll her on top of me so I can see her better. "Why don't you fuck me so you can get all that anger out?"

"Good idea," she agrees with a sadistic grin that fucking turns me on more. This girl is my perfect match. I dig my fingers into her hips as she rocks over me, riding me like she's possessed. Her hair is messy and wild, her lips swollen, her tits bouncing with every move.

Half an hour and a couple of orgasms later, she's over our fight and is lying in my arms, snuggled into me. Hopefully we can both get some sleep before we get home. I stroke her hair. "When we get home, I'm moving in with you and the kids," I tell her, kissing her forehead.

She pulls back from me so she can see me properly. "What?" she says, even though I'm pretty sure she heard me just fine. I was hoping her sleepy euphoric state would have her more agreeable.

"You said last night; I could come and stay whenever I needed to get away."

"I meant to hang out with us, not move in, Heath. And you can visit. But we’re not moving in anywhere together. We’ve only been seeing each other for a couple of weeks."

"I need to be with you all. I have wasted too much time already."

"I get it, and you can stay whenever you want. But we're not making anything official, and your stuff stays at your place. The kids need time to adjust, and so do I." She says it like it’s her decision and there will be no discussion, and I understand where she is coming from.

"Okay, but you're going to have to get used to my travel bag on your bedroom floor because I want to spend as much time with you guys as I can." I smile cheekily so she knows I'm just joking with her about the bag. But I can't deny I need her in my life.

"I'm sure I can find you a spot in my closet for your bag. Don't get me wrong, Heath, I want to spend as much time with you as I can as well. We just need to take it slow."

The way she looks at me, I know she wants me there all the time, she’s just being stubborn, trying to grasp onto any ounce of control she can. And after what she went through with Declan, I understand why, and I'm happy to wait for her as long as it takes for her to catch up with me. Because I know when she does, it's going to be more than worth the wait.

CHAPTER NINETEEN

AMELIA

Heathinsistedoncomingback with me to Palm Springs for another couple of days. He wants to catch up with the kids, which is nice, and help me sort out the shit Summer has been dealing with since the article came out. I'm also pretty sure he is laying some claim to me after the comment Julian said to him. He's being dramatic, but I kind of get where he’s coming from. We already screwed up once and spent so much time away from each other, so now we have both laid our cards on the table and told each other how we feel. Now is the time to make a go of this.

We haven't even made it home yet. Instead, I get the car to pull in at the main warehouse so I can meet up with Summer and check how things are going. As we drive into the lot, Heath looks over at me, and I can see the shock on his face. I knew he would be surprised. "Your warehouse is here?"

"My dad owns the property, so I got it cheap because no one else wanted it after the factory fire. He built the warehouse space here for me to use," I say, trying to justify my reasoning.

He stares out the window. "I'm surprised you even came back here after what nearly happened."

The look in his eyes, I know he is being transported right back to that night. It was the worst night of both of our lives. We had come to play hide-and-seek here with a couple of other kids from school. It was right at closing time, so there weren’t too many of the factory workers left, and this was the best place to play and hide. We had been here so many times before it wasn't funny. But this night was different.

While Heath and I were hiding in one of the boxes at the back, a fight broke out between two of the guys that worked there. I had seen them around town before. I think one of them was a dad of a boy in my class, but that was all I knew. We stayed longer than we should have because we were too scared to leave, and then one guy shot the other and started throwing stuff around, totally trashing the place, and before we knew it the whole factory was up in flames.
