“Good morning, mate,” Blake said.

His raspy morning voice sent tingles down her spine, and then her body tightened when his fingers glided up and down her back. They had fucked so many times the night before that she was sore beyond belief, but her body still craved his with a hunger that almost frightened her.

“How long will we feel this way?” she asked.

“For the rest of our lives.”

“What?” She raised her head to look at him. “Blake, there’s no way I’ll be able to handle this that long.”

“Yes, you will. We’ll learn to deal with it so we can go on with our lives. Every wolf that finds their own mate learns to deal with it. I’ve been told it gets easier as time passes.”

“What will our daily life be like?” she asked.

“For me, it was survival before you came. Now, I’ve got something to live for and care for.”

She kissed his chest. “I get to take care of you, too. Right?”

“Yes.”

She snuggled against his chest.

“How can I get in touch with my friends? They’re probably worried.”

She felt him stiffen beneath her.

“You can’t,” he said.

She sat up abruptly. “Why?”

“I don’t want us to be found.”

“Why?”

“I don’t want people around you or men looking at you.”

She pulled the blanket over her lap and sat cross-legged next to his hip. “So, you’re telling me I can’t even talk to my friends ever again?”

“No, I’m not saying that. Just not right now.”

“But they’re probably worried about me.”

“They are. There are searchers out looking for you.”

“And you can’t tell them I’m fine?”

“No.”

“What happens when they find us?”

“They won’t.”

“You don’t think they’ll check the caves?”

“They won’t find this one. I’ve hidden and blocked the entrance.”

“What if I scream?”

He growled. “Mate, do not push me with this.”
