Me:Then you should listen to me. Get a ride home with a friend who hasn’t been drinking. Don’t ride home with a stranger.

She leaves me on read for quite a few minutes this time and now I’m up pacing the length of my living room. I know without a doubt if I had any idea where she was right now I’d be loading Oliver into the car and going to get her. Like a crazy person. I barely know this girl, I need to let this go.

Bianca:don’t tell me what to ducking do

Bianca:not ducking, ducking

Bianca:ducking

Bianca:duck

Okay, I can’t help but let out a chuckle at that.

Me: Just tell me where you are and I’ll come pick you up.

Bianca:Nope. All good here detective dickwad

Me:Bianca I’m serious.

Me:Bianca?

Me:You need to answer me so I know you’re alright.

I don’t receive any more messages from her. I hope it’s either because she got distracted from her phone or she’s on her way home and not that something happened to her. I try to tell myself it’s not my problem, this wild girl is not my responsibility. But that doesn’t stop the sinking feeling I have in my stomach.

About thirty minutes later I see a car pull up in front of her place and I run to the window like some kind of puppy eager for its owner to get home. Instead of Bianca getting out of the car, her roommate Violet exits and then enters the house without a backward glance.

I’m sure Violet was with Bianca, I could always barge over there to find out where she is, but I haven’t even formerly met her yet. I don’t want her to think I’m normally as crazy as I’m currently acting.

It’s well past midnight and I should be asleep. Instead, I’m pacing and bouncing between checking my phone and looking out the window. There’s no sign of Bianca. I lay down on the couch, hoping that maybe I’ll be able to catch a quick cat nap. I know if I go back to my room there’s no way I’ll be able to sleep if I can’t hear her come home.

At first, I was having just general anxiety about her being out and drunk and something happening to her. Now, with all the time that’s passed I’m starting to get worried for real. Her roommate was home hours ago.

I’m staring at the ceiling when I hear a car door slam outside. Hopping up, I rush to the window and see a distinctly Bianca shaped shadow weaving along the sidewalk. Her ride has already started to pull away from the curb and I don’t even think. I open the door and rush outside in bare feet, pajama pants, and a thin tee shirt.

She must hear me coming even in her inebriated state because she turns towards me and a drunken smile lights up her face that almost brings me to my knees. Apparently, I’ve only been getting small, guarded smiles from her before. This is a genuine and real Bianca smile and I feel almost blessed that she’s bestowed it upon me.

“Detective Dickwad!” She yells loud enough to wake the neighbors. I roll my eyes as she takes a step forward and trips on the edge of the grass, stumbling. I quickly grab her arm keeping her upright and look down at her shoes. High heels again.

“Don’t you own any shoes that won’t cause you to break an ankle?”

“Hey, these shoes are cute. Look what they do for my legs and ass.” She turns and gives me a little pose, pushing her ass out a little and I can’t deny she’s right, but I also know she looks just as good without the heels.

“Where’s your coat?” She’s wearing some kind of dark green, skintight dress that not only has every single one of her curves on display but is calling for everyone to look at them. I don’t like that every man she came across tonight was probably having the same dirty thoughts that I’m having right now.

She looks around her like a coat will just suddenly appear in her arms or on the ground near her. “I guess I forgot it,” she shrugs. “I’ll get it tomorrow.” She starts walking towards her house and before I can stop myself, I put my hand on the small of her back and steer her over to my place. I just want to watch her and make sure she’s alright. She’s obviously drunk, what if she gets sick during the night? Sure, her roommate is home but she’s probably asleep by now. It would be better if I just kept an eye on her.

Absolutely. Right. Totally on the up and up.

She starts rattling on about the party and talking about people I’ve never met, but she sounds so happy that I can’t help but smile down at her. Once we’re inside I move her towards my bedroom.

“Are we going to have sex now?” She asks eagerly, like nothing would make her night better. I let out a groan and adjust the bulge that’s been in my pants since she posed for me outside.

“We can’t have sex, Bianca. You’re drunk.”

She gives me that sexy pout that only some women can pull off without looking like a total idiot. She happens to be one of them. “But I wanna, Carson,” She whines which just has me thinking about those little noises she made when I fucked her.

Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea after all.
