“Thanks.”
The elevator doors opened, and I held the open button for Nikki when we stepped inside.
“He knows your fake name, but you didn’t get his?” Georgia asked.
“He was going to tell me, and I told him not to. I said it was kinkier that way.” She smiled.
She had a plane to catch back to New York and couldn’t join us for breakfast. So, Georgia and I said our goodbyes to her, had breakfast with the family and boarded the plane for our two-week honeymoon.
“Do you think Conner told Charlotte what he did yet?” Georgia asked as we sat on the plane.
“No. I asked him before we left. He said he’s going to. I think he’s scared.”
“He should be.” Georgia laughed.
“Have I told you how much I love you?” The corners of my mouth curved upward as I grabbed her hand.
“You have, but I never want you to stop telling me.”
“You’re my wife, and a day will never go by without me telling you.”
“Same goes for me, my handsome husband.” She smiled as she brought her hand up to my face.
“We have a long flight. How about we make good use of the bedroom on this plane?” I winked.
“You just read my mind, Dr. Kind.”
“Kara,” I called for the flight attendant. “Can you bring us each a glass of champagne, please?”
“Of course, Dr. Kind.”
“Thank you. We’re going into the bedroom and don’t want to be disturbed.”
“No problem.” She smiled.
I took Georgia’s hand, helped her from her seat, and closed the door. Let the honeymoon begin.
