"You know I want to reclaim my throne," he said, his eyes gleaming.

"Get lost."

"I wish it were that easy, little witch."

I felt a cold chill run down my spine. I knew I was in serious trouble. I had to find a way to get rid of Apollyn, before it was too late.

"The door is sealed. I was using a clock. How did you get here then?" I asked, my voice trembling.

"Oh my dear...you don't know who you're dealing with you do you?" He shook his head. "I am one hundred times stronger than you are."

"Then why do you need my help to reclaim your throne?" I snapped.

Apollyn was clearly taken aback. His face contorted into a frown as a palpable wave of displeasure emanated from his body.

He yelled, "Your carefully crafted enchantment cast me out of it, so you need to undo it!" The dust from every object in the room seemed to shiver in response.

I smiled, feeling proud that at least one thing worked. "Well, then..."

"You dare mock me..." His eyes widened.

"I didn't invite you in. I don't even know why you're here on Earth. We thought you would be in another realm by now."

"When you helped my sons banish me from Shadow World, I took refuge on Earth just like my sons took refuge in Nebulae when I banished them," he said, a hint of anger in his voice. "I've been here ever since."

I gasped, horrified. "You sent those shadows after me."

"You shouldn't make friends with vampires. They never live up to their end of the bargain. Get it? Live up?"

He laughed out loud, but I remained silent because I didn't get the weak joke.

He shut his lips, ceasing the laughter. "Anyway, I had to mark you, to make sure you never cross me."

"What do you mean?"

"I've branded you with a mark of death and life. "

"What the hell does that mean?" I asked.

"It means I control whether you live or die. For what you helped my sons do to me, that is the punishment I have for you. You'll wear my mark for eternity. It will remind you every day of your life that you crossed me once, but shall never cross me again."

"I'm not afraid of you."

"You don't have to me. I only command you do the one thing," he said. "I have an offer."

Loki hissed.

Apollyn frowned. "For you, not the cat."

I had no intention of helping someone like Apollyn. I had to find a way to send him back to wherever he came from, and fast.

I stepped back, my heart racing. "I don't want your offer," I said firmly. "I don't want anything to do with you."

He gave a soft and spiteful laugh. “You’ll soon see the error of your ways,” he said with a grin. “You have no idea what I can give you: power, riches, and magic that surpass any you’ve ever encountered. You’ll never want for anything more. You'll never have to search for anything again because you'll already have the answers.”

I lifted my hand and unleashed a blast of magic, sending him flying across the room. "Go fuck yourself!"

I unleashed the spell with a fierce cry, obliterating my room from the entity's presence. Yet, to my horror, he reappeared in an instant, as if my magic had no control over him.
