“What’s that?” I had been transported back to the elevator, ten years earlier—when I was ready to pin him against the hallway outside his room, and kiss every part of his body.

“Will you meet me tomorrow to go skiing?”

I couldn’t stop the smile from spreading across my face. “Only if you do to me what we should’ve done ten years ago.” The bold words coming from my mouth surprised me.

He swept me up in his arms and I giggled like my twenty-five-year-old self as he jogged down the hallway to the bedroom. He tossed me onto the bed and then straddled my body, his knees on either side of my hips. “You don’t have to ask me twice.” He pulled off his shirt revealing the six-pack of abs I always knew was underneath that ugly sweater. Then he laughed. “I guess you do. I’m going to make up for all of those years that we should have had together, Julia.”

And as Chance slipped his fingers into the waistband of my leggings, goosebumps prickled my entire body and my desire for the man I’d been dreaming about for ten years soaked the expensive lacy underwear that were on their maiden voyage.

That night Chance did make up for the past ten years, three times. When he pushed into me, I gasped and knew that everything was happening at the right time and the right place.

Chance Rapids wasn’t the magic. I was. And I was home.

Second Chance Spark

When Georgia burst into Scott’s life in a cloud of glitter and her buns beat his in an epic bake-off they'd agreed.

One night.

One date only.

No exceptions.

That was six months ago and a lot has changed.

Except for the connection and undeniable attraction between them.

When Scott's food truck breaks down in front of Georgia's bakery, it's a sign.

They're better together in every way.

Now all Scott needs to do is convince Georgia that there’s enough room in her town—and her heart—for him.

ChapterOne

SCOTT

“Just a little more.” Scott rubbed his hand over her smooth curves. “Come on. You can do this.”

Despite his encouragement, the old bus he’d lovingly nicknamed Sparky rumbled around him, shuddering and shaking as it rolled into the town of Glacier Falls.

Scott Harding muttered some choice curse words under his breath. It was not the first time he’d cursed the man he’d bought it from, although it was his own fault that he’d believed the guy when he told him, “She’sjust like new. A fresh coat of paint will fix her right up.”

Maybe that was true for the rust he’d carefully scraped, primed, and painted on the outside, before fitting the interior with a cooktop, fridge, and brand-new stainless-steel countertops, completing his food truck, Scotty’s Pies. The engine, however, was turning out to be a different matter altogether.

Scott pulled safely to a complete stop on Main Street, and not a moment too soon as a puff of smoke rose from the hood. He dropped his head into his hands and tugged on his mop of sandy-blond hair, chuckling a little to himself.
