I ignore him and bust through the door into the small recording box.

Blakely's eyes widen. She stops playing the piano and removes her headphones, rising off the piano bench. "Riggs. What are you doing here?"

I grab her around the waist and start leading her out of the room.

"Riggs," she protests, but it's not very strong.

Noah demands, "Get your hands off her!"

I tug Blakely closer, threatening, "Don't you dare get between my wife and me."

Noah glances at Blakely. "Tell him to release you. He doesn't have any power over you."

"Do not order my wife around," I threaten, stepping closer to her.

Noah's voice becomes sterner. He steps closer to me, keeps his gaze on her, and states, "Blakely, you don't have to let him manhandle you."

Every ounce of anger I have spins out of control. The feeling I have when I do severe damage to people cyclones through me. I push Blakely behind me to protect her, then shove Noah against the wall. I grasp him around the neck, squeezing so he can't breathe.

His eyes bulge. His arms begin to flail.

Blakely screams.

It only makes me tighten my hold on him. I lift up so he's on his toes, then growl out, "I've warned you to stay out of my wife's and my business."

"Riggs. Don't. You're going to kill him!" Blakely claims.

Ears demands, "That's enough, Riggs!" He grabs me by the shirt and tries to pull me back.

It's pointless. I have too much adrenaline moving through me. My grip on Noah's throat tightens, and the anger festering inside me won't allow me to release him.

I stay planted, scowling at him, squeezing him harder so his cheeks turn red, snarling, "You will not remove me from my wife's schedule. You will not take her security into your own hands. Do you understand me?"

Ears asserts, "Riggs, let him go!" He grabs my shoulder and yanks me back with enough force to make me release Noah.

He begins to sputter, grabbing his neck and clutching his stomach while bending over to find air.

"This has gone too far," Ears states angrily.

I try to lunge at Noah again, but Ears pulls me back. I threaten, "Are we clear who runs my wife's security?"

Noah straightens to his full height, getting another set of balls. He declares, "You aren't coming near her, nor are you involved any longer in her career. Now, get out."

More rage ignites inside me. I don't know who this guy thinks he is. Ears owns the studio, not him. And there's no way I'll ever allow him to make all the moves in Blakely's career, especially about her security.

I take a deep breath, trying to control my demons, wishing I wasn't shaking inside so hard. I turn to Blakely. "Did you tell Noah to remove me from your schedule?"

She opens her mouth, glancing between us, then stares at me.

I attempt to soften my tone, but it's useless. I push in a harsh tone, "Well?"

She shakes her head. Hope and relief grow inside me.

Thank God she didn't authorize Noah to remove me.

She still wants me to be part of her life. I know she does. She still loves me even if she's not talking to me right now. Surely, our love is strong enough to get through this.

I curse myself again for what I did, but I can't worry about that right now. I ask her, "And what about your security, pet? Did you tell him not to trust me regarding those details?"
