The banging becomes more intense, and fear fills me. I slide closer to Colton. He protectively puts his arm around me, and I question, "Is it always like this?"

He grins. "Yep. Better get used to it, superstar."

My stomach flips. Ears told me about this. Noah always dismissed him, claiming I could handle anything and saying that's why we have bodyguards. But I can hear Ears in my head warning me.

The SUV turns the corner, and the driver accelerates down the road. I exhale an anxious breath.

"Potential catastrophe over!" Colton announces.

"Is that normal?"

"Yep. But the real question is, are you okay? That was a bit intense back in the dressing room."

I groan. "Don't remind me." I momentarily forgot about the exchange between Riggs, Noah, and me.

He opens a bottle of whiskey, pours three fingers into a tumbler, and holds it in front of me. "Have a drink."

I wrinkle my nose. "Not a whiskey girl."

He chuckles. "Should have known, Beverly Hills." He grabs a bottle of champagne and pops the cork. The fizz overflows and drips down the bottle and onto the carpet.

Surprised, I ask, "How do you know I'm from there?"

He dramatically inhales. "Don't insult me. I said I was a fan. I researched you." He fills a flute and hands it to me.

I laugh, which feels good after the last hour. Still, I'm shocked that someone at Colton's level of success took the time to learn about my life. I take a sip and tease, "Do I have to worry about you stalking me?"

He grins. "Only if you're lucky. But honestly, I'd probably stalk your husband over you. Sorry, but I got needs."

The thought of Riggs with Colton amuses me. And since I'm so comfortable with Colton and already trust him, I blurt out, "I don't think you can handle what Riggs is into."

His face lights up. He leans closer and whispers, "Oh! Tell me more. Is it whips and chains? Does Daddy tie you up for hours and make you beg for days on end?"

Heat crawls up my cheeks. I elbow him. "Stop."

He jerks his head backward and declares, "He does, doesn't he? Are you a submissive?"

More embarrassment floods me. I don't answer him, not wanting to lie but unsure what to say.

He chuckles and touches my cheek. "No need to be ashamed. I'm down for kneeling for a few hours."

I nervously laugh. "Very funny."

His face turns serious. "Do I look like I'm joking?"

"You're a sub?"

He nods. "Yep. Bring me a Daddy like yours, and I'm at his service."

I stay quiet, stunned at his revelation.

He inquires, "Why do you look so shocked?"

"I... I don't know. You're such a strong force on stage. And you aren't afraid to tell Noah off. I... I can't see anyone ordering you around and you obeying," I admit.

He acts insulted, asking, "So you think I'm a shitty sub?"

"Umm...didn't say that."
