“Liar.” His fingers flexed on my jaw…and my scalp. Somehow, I’d missed that he’d boxed me in, and in doing so, he’d slid his other hand into my hair.

My lungs got tight again.

I needed to get out of here.

I opened my mouth, gathering snarky words with a dash of vitriol. They bubbled up in my belly, ready to shoot off my tongue, angry and unforgivable.

Stopping me before I did something unforgiveable and spoke that bitterness out loud.

I was entrenched in his palm on my jaw, in the strength and warmth of his body. I missed the meaning behind his thumb slipping from my bottom lip, dragging down my chin, pressing slightly into my throat.

I wanted his fingers wrapping tightly there, wanting them holding me in place as he pounded into me, as he fucked me hard and fast and exactly how he liked.

Taking over.

Taking care of me.

Just…taking me.

I was trying to push that thought away when his head dropped and his lips hit mine.
