“Pia. God, I love you.”
“I love you.”
And just like that, my release hits me. I wrap my arms around his shoulders and bury my head into his neck as I cry out. “Dario. Dario,” I say into his ear like a mantra.
“Pia,” he cries as his release washes over him. He groans, digging his hips in until his body relaxes. “God. You’re amazing.”
I smile while I press kisses against his cheek. “So are you.”
Once our bodies calm down, Dario rolls off me and pulls me into his arms. Neither of us speaks. We’re content to stay like this until … well, as long as we want.
I look out at the ocean from the view in our bedroom. The waves are rolling in and out. It’s comforting. And while I miss the sight of my olive trees, this new view represents my new life with the man I love. My husband.
And nothing is better than that.
