“Who said sane?” I smirk, finishing my drink and thinking about Rosey. She’d definitely fit into my life. And then there’s Meli not quite as insane as her friend, but she’d get this life, no question.

“You wanna know what I think?”

“No.”

“You need to get on with business. Take your mind off both women and fuck a random. Then tomorrow, focus on making us rich. It’s what you do best.”

“Why do you have to talk sense?” I grumble.

“It’s my job—talk sense and keep you on track. Are we good?” he asks.

I nod, holding up my glass. “I’m just gonna have one more.”

I’m seeing double. I hate feeling like this, and I’m pissed at myself for drinking so much as I fall into my chair. The red-head I picked up falls on top of me, giggling as she lifts her skirt. She sinks down onto my erection. Fuck knows how I even got it up, and I don’t remember getting it out of my trousers. She groans, digging her nails into my shoulders. “Condom,” I murmur, opening my desk drawer and reaching for one. She slams her mouth over mine and moves faster. “Stop,” I whisper.

“No chance,” she pants.

My head falls back against the chair and I close my eyes. I need to sleep.

“Holy fucking shit.” The voice is loud, and my head aches. I squint, letting some light into my eyes. “Are you kidding me?” The voice is louder now, and it belongs to Albert.

“Who the hell are you?” It’s another voice, this one female.

“You don’t remember me?” he asks.

“Aren’t you one of Arthur’s security?”

“I’m his brother, and there better be a damn good reason why he’s passed out and you’re naked.”

“Oh Lord, what the hell have I walked in on?” That voice belongs to Meli, and I immediately open my eyes fully to discover I’m in my office. I look down. I’m naked, and to my side is Jolene Hall.

“Jolene Hall,”I say out loud, my words laced in surprise and shock. “Fuck . . . what the fuck?”

“Indeed,” says Albert, arching his brows in judgement.

Jolene looks sheepish as she sits, grabbing her dress from the floor and pulling it on. “I should go.”

“Not so fast, princess,” snaps Albert. “I have a few questions. Like did you use protection?” He glares at me, and I suddenly feel like a kid under his dad’s angry scrutiny. I’m also aware that Meli is still staring wide-eyed at this whole shitshow.

“You wanna do this later, when I’m awake properly and dressed maybe?” I ask.

“You want her to walk out of here not knowing if she could get pregnant, brother?” he snaps. “Cos I ain’t gonna sleep well knowing she might become a part of this family.”

“Rude,” mutters Jolene, slipping on her shoes. “And, of course, we did.”

“Cos I’m gonna believe anything you say,” Albert utters, rolling his eyes.

“It’s not like your brother can remember, is it?” She sneers, smirking my way.

I sigh heavily. “Get her the pill.”

“What pill?” she asks, looking alarmed.

Albert goes to the safe and punches in the number. “We’re out,” he declares, slamming it closed angrily. He turns to Meli. “Go to the chemist. It’s at the end of the road. I need the morning-after pill.” He pulls some cash from his wallet and holds it out for her to take, but she stares at it with distain.

“No.”

Albert frowns. “Excuse me?”
