"Yes," she breathed. "Don't make me wait any longer."

He smirked against her mouth, and just like that, he guided his erection into her, and she groaned as he gradually filled her up, inch by inch of his stiff shaft spreading her wide. Pleasure and warmth burned inside her core. The feeling was so incredible and indescribable.

Dominick let out a subtle moan at the sensation, and she smiled in satisfaction, knowing that she was providing him immense pleasure in return. The feeling was overwhelming as Dominick adjusted to being inside her, then steadily began to rock her against the table. He gazed deep into her eyes, his hands snaking around her body to find her hands and clasp them securely, holding her against the table while their bodies moved together as one. Their hips slapped together rhythmically, and every time he entered her, it felt like a little piece of heaven was growing inside her.

Rosalie realized then that she wanted this man more than anything. More than she'd dared to admit to herself until now. She wrapped her legs around him tightly as they moved together, unwilling to let him go.

All she wanted was to keep this bliss going for as long as possible, so neither of them had to return to the real world. To the hate and differences that drove them apart.

Here, right now, they were equals who wanted—no, needed—the same thing.

Each other.

Desperately, so much so that nothing could have dragged them away from each other. Like a moth to the flame, Dominick had always been the one she was drawn to, even if he was destined to destroy her.

Their bodies flew together, electrical sensations filling Rosalie inside and out. The intensity of their lovemaking became too much, like burning coils of fire had lit her insides, and now she was trembling all over. She couldn't keep that fire inside anymore, those waves of pleasure that kept crashing into her, breaking down all resolve and resistance. The feeling was so intense that it built into a sweet agony, leaving them both trembling on the brink of something beautiful.

A cry burst from Rosalie's throat, and she gave in to Dominick completely. The heat between them reached its peak, bodies rocking with the sheer force of their completion. Rosalie squeezed her eyes shut, and behind her lids, behind the burning ecstasy of completion, all she saw was infinite whiteness. Heaven she hadn't experienced since the last time she and Dominick were together over a decade ago.

Rosalie clung onto Dominick tightly as they held each other through the waves of their climaxes, limbs entwined and hearts beating in tandem like two souls intertwined forevermore.

After, Dominick collapsed on top of her, and she relaxed into the hardwood of the table, panting. His face loomed over her, not an angel anymore, but a demon who'd stolen her heart, and she'd been unable to stop him.

Again.

"We seem to have a problem."

Dominick's voice rang out from behind Rosalie as she loosely laced up her gown, presentable enough, at least, to make it back to her suite for bed. If Dominick had released Jay already, then Jadielle would bring Jay back to Rosalie's suite as soon as possible, and Rosalie wanted to be there when she did.

She hadn't seen her son in over twenty-four hours. Although Dominick had promised that he hadn't hurt Jay, it still felt like a horrible betrayal on her part that she spent a few hours losing her mind to Dominick's intense lovemaking instead of rushing to find Jay.

It made her hate Dominick even more for having this kind of power over her. The way he made her heart sing, even when she thought she'd become stony and loveless toward him, terrified her.

She had to get out before she couldn't anymore.

Rosalie swallowed and turned to Dominick once her dress was fixed back in place. "A problem? What do you mean?"

She'd hoped to get out of there without Dominick forcing her to talk about what had just happened. She needed time to figure out whatever the hell had been going through her head to let him anywhere near her intimately again. Would she be able to let this go? Or would this open the door to more vulnerability and the possibility of him dragging her back to him, even when that was the last thing she wanted to do?

For her son's safety, she had to stay away from him.

But everything that he'd said so far about Jay ... now, she wasn't so sure what was the right call anymore.

Dominick's lips were pressed into a firm line. "My guards were taking Jay to Jadielle as instructed ... they couldn't find her, so they opted to leave Jay with someone who might know her instead. However, one of the slaves questioned about Jadielle and Jay led to an interesting discovery ..."

Rosalie's breath caught, and she tried not to let the panic sink in. "What's that?"

"Don't feign innocence with me," Dominick hissed. "You knew Jay wasn't Jadielle's son! Who does he belong to if not her? Very clever to train the boy to recite a story like that when questioned. It's almost as if he believed what he was saying about his parents, even though every word was a lie. So, whatisthe truth, Rosalie? You seem to be the only one around here who knows!"

"What makes you say I know anything? I thought he was Jadielle's!"

"Don't lie to me!" Dominick stormed after her. "You get all upset about me accusing you of lies, but only because every word you breathe is laced in them. What is it, Rosalie? Do you want my trust, or do you want to be subjugated by me? Forced to obey my every whim? You arethisclose to losing everything. Tell me the truthnow, and I might just spare you from that fate."

Tears sprung to Rosalie's eyes, terrified that if she disobeyed Dominick again if she told another lie, she really would never see Jay again. Under so much pressure and so much fear, she had to break.

But if she told Dominick the truth, would Dominick still treat them so kindly?
