He pushed his finger even deeper, driving past the tight ring of muscle. As he started pumping, a wash of pain flashed through me as I gasped. When he added a second finger, I tensed but within seconds the discomfort shifted into a carnal need. I arched my back even more, bucking against his fingers.

Chuckling, he added a third finger, thrusting harder. And harder.

“Now, I fuck you.” He replaced his fingers with his cock, pushing the bulbous head just inside. Then he planted his hands on either side of me, pressing his chest against my back. “Do you like it dirty?”

“Yes.”

“Good.” He slipped another inch inside, then another.

I gasped, shivering against him as the vibrations became even more electrified. When he thrust the last few inches in, every muscle tensed, and I gave him exactly what he’d wanted.

I screamed out his name.

“Phoenix! Yes. Yes.”

He pressed the full weight of his body against me, holding his cock in place for a few seconds. Then he started pumping in earnest in a nice, steady rhythm, allowing my muscles to get used to the thick invasion. But within seconds, he couldn’t hold back any longer, pulling out until only the tip was inside then driving deep inside.

“Yes. Oh…” I could no longer put a coherent sentence together, my mind blown from the intensity of his actions.

But it felt so damn good that I never wanted it to end.

He placed his hands on mine, entangling our fingers as he continued the lewd act, shifting his hips and thrusting brutally. Our ragged breathing was the same, our bodies molding together as one. Harder. Faster. I wanted more. More.

And he gave it to me, fucking me until the water finally started to turn cold. Only then did I sense he was close to coming.

I closed my eyes, still panting, my mind on cloud nine. Then I squeezed my muscles. There was nothing more enticing than hearing his deep roar as he filled me with his seed.

CHAPTER4

Wren

I’d learned two valuable aspects about myself in the last three years since graduating college a year early. One: I hated a typical corporate structure. Two: Sexy, rugged men were tempting but usually came with baggage. The second had proven true on the few dates I’d gone on. Every man had some complex they kept hidden until the third or fourth date. Either they were a control freak, had to prove themselves to their buddies, or acted as if women were objects.

That made the decision to try to hire Phoenix easier than I’d expected. Okay, so we’d had sex, seriously incredible, mind-erasing sex. In fact, my body still ached from his roughness, his needs insatiable. He’d taken me two additional times, waking me from deep slumbers. Not that I was complaining. I’d never had so many orgasms in my life. However, it could never happen again. Once I made up my mind about something, I never altered my decision.

Ever.

“I’ll take you to your car. I should be able to dig it out,” Phoenix said almost in passing. He grabbed his bag, his gruff demeanor returning as soon as the sun had risen.

Suddenly, a woman who’d never had trouble finding her voice couldn’t form words in a coherent fashion. I stood where I was, staring at him. Granted, he was lovely to gaze upon under any circumstances, but I felt like a failure all of a sudden, needing to pay a man to date me for a couple of days.

Even if the circumstances required me to jump out of my comfort zone.

When he finally turned to face me, he narrowed his eyes. They were so deep green that I was lost in them for a few seconds. “What’s wrong, sweetheart? Cat got your tongue?”

“Um…” As he started to walk closer, the same heat swept through every muscle in my body like a wildfire.

“Do I make you nervous, little bird?”

As he crowded my space, I tried to keep a rational mind, finally sidestepping him.

“I have a proposition for you.” I couldn’t look him in the eyes. I’d never felt so humiliated in my life, but my sister’s idea made sense. No strings.

“Hmm… When a beautiful woman says she has a proposition for me, my mind goes to some very dark, kinky places.” His laugh sent a shiver down my spine.

“So look. I’m just going to say this.” Before I lost my nerve. “I’m returning to Missoula for my sister’s wedding and I’m the maid of honor. Now, you don’t know my parents, but they’re the oppressive type who want me to follow this path they laid out for me in grade school. You know the one I mean. Get straight A’s. Be the most popular kid in school. Work for the family company then allow them to hunt down the perfect man to spend the rest of my life with, popping out at least three kids while living in suburbia with a white picket fence and a damn dog in every holiday photograph.” I finally took a deep breath, realizing it was ragged.

Meanwhile, he remained quiet as a church mouse.
