That was a good—no, a fucking phenomenal plan. Back at the shop, or in my apartment, or wherever once I stopped this engine, some more mind-blowing fucks needed to be had. My pussy clenched at the thought. I grinned and opened the throttle.

I had this man here for a little while longer, and I planned to take advantage of every opportunity until Doc took that cast off and Wilde rode away on his Betty. I’d take as much as he’d give and hope the memories lasted long after he was gone. With his ties to the AX3, I wasn’t naive enough to believe he’d stay once he was able to ride.

As we crested the last hill and the shop came into view, I caught a glimpse of two bikes sitting out front. I squinted and leaned my head forward to see if I recognized them, but we were too far away.

“Who’s that?” Wilde yelled in my ear.

“Can’t tell.”

My stomach churned—a mix of hunger and anger that I had to pull myself out of the sex-crazed mindset before I was ready and face the unwanted visitors.

As I pulled off the highway, light at the perfect angle hit the closest bike. A pearlized black tank and fenders glittered in the desert sun. I made out the green airbrush and row of shamrocks.

Turning my head so Wilde could hear me over the road noise, I said, “It’s just my brother.”

I parked the bike next to Celt’s.

Wilde planted his good foot and swung off before I could drop the kickstand. “Doesn’t he ever fucking ask to come over?”

I breathed a soft laugh. “Not often.” And that was true. My brother had a need to be around that never seemed to cease. He had that protective steak a mile long, but I also suspected he was a little lonely for some female company—something he wasn’t likely to find in The Ridge outside of one of the groupies that came to town for parties.

“Well,” Wilde leaned over, nipped my neck again, and growled low beside my ear. “He’s fucking with my plans.”

Chills ran up and down my spine, and I had an urge to chase my brother away so we could carry on with those plans. Instead, I let out a sigh as I dismounted, looking Wilde’s amazing body from tip to tail one more time. Then I closed my eyes to refocus.

“Let’s just see what he and Cook want,” I said.

“Cook? Don’t tell me you have another brother I need to worry about.”

I gave him a grin as the smell of bacon frying filtered into the air. My gut groaned. “Not quite. C’mon. I’ll introduce you.”

“Where’ve you two been, sis?” Celt asked, leaning on the island in his standard undone cop shirt as I strode into the kitchenette from the shop with Wilde on my heels.

“Lookout. Hi, Cook. Smells amazing!”

My brother’s oldest friend stood at the stove, flipping bacon and wearing a pink apron that read, “I think of you when I rub my meat.” I’d grown accustomed to the sight of Cook wearing a frilly apron totally in contrast with his ponytail hanging past his broad shoulders and beard that swept his chest. He’d always said it kept his leathers clean, but I suspected he just loved the reactions. The burly man hid a smile when Wilde coughed behind me.

I chuckled and made introductions then went over and grabbed a piece of crispy bacon from the plate. Cook swatted at me with the spatula. “You can wait five minutes.”

“What brings you over?” I asked.

“We’re burnin’ out in the hills tonight,” said Cook. “Thought you might want to get out of the shop and join us. And since we were here and waiting and you had all the fixins, thought I’d whip up a little breakfast.”

My stomach growled.

I looked at Celt questioningly. So far, he’d been adamant that no one knew Wilde was here.

“Why the sudden change, brother?”

He gave a shrug. “Everyone in town already suspects something’s up with you. Can’t keep anything on the fucking D.L. in a town with less than a thousand people.” Celt closed his mouth and traced the wood grain on the block with a thumb. When he looked up again, his eyes said there was trouble. “Rex has been asking about Luke.”

“Rex can go fuck himself,” I mumbled. “What concern would that motherfucker have with some new kid who couldn’t fucking control his own cock?”

Cook put the plate of bacon on the island. “You better watch that, little one. Rex owns the biz and has just as much pull in this town as Celt does.”

“More,” my brother added, a sour note in his voice. “Not sure what Rex’s deal is with Luke, but he seems pretty charged up over the fact that he hasn’t been around.”

Cook grabbed a glove and pulled some fresh-baked biscuits out of the oven. My mouth flooded as he pointed to Wilde and me and asked, “Eggs?”
