Page 72 of Tease Me

I suppressed a groan. Nine people was a lot to keep a secret. Especially when one or two of those nine weren't very good at keeping their mouths shut. Myself included, although it was my expression and not my mouth that leaked the information. I was going to have to watch myself, at least until Hayley and I figured things out.

"Don't say anything to her either," I said firmly. "No teasing, no hinting, no innuendos."

"Not even a double entendre?" Strike pouted playfully.

I shook my head. "None of those either. Just act normal and treat her like you usually do." Before anyone could say anything, I added, "As normal as any of you get anyway."

"I think we just got insulted," Strike said. He sniffed and pretended to be offended. As if he was in any way normal whatsoever.

"Speak for yourself," Cord said. He was eating a sandwich with Harper on his lap, his other arm around her. "I’m normal."

"Normal for a Rock Dragon," Strike agreed. "Which is abnormal compared to the rest of the human race."

Cord made a face at him, which Strike returned in equal measure.

Harper shook her head at both of them and laughed.

"Normal is overrated anyway," Jude said. "So I've heard."

"I've heard that too," Mel said. "But I wouldn't know for sure. I don't know if I've actually met anyone who is normal." She grinned teasingly at Jude.

He stuck his tongue out at her and smiled. It was definitely love.

I sat back and nibbled on my sandwich. I was looking forward to getting back on the tour, but even more than that, I was looking forward to seeing Hayley again. I wondered if I could manage to get the seat beside her on the plane. That would give us lots of time to talk about things and decide what, if anything, we wanted to do. To be honest, I knew what I wanted. I wanted to spend time with her, get to know her and see if what I'd already started to feel for her would grow.

One thing I knew for absolutely sure, I couldn't imagine looking at or being with another woman now after being with her. Even after one night together, she was already special to me.

The question was, was I special to her?

"Thank you." I paid the ride share driver and walked around the back of the car to get my suitcase. As I rolled it towards the entrance to the airport, I heard the guys. As a group, they could make a lot of noise. Surrounded by adoring fans, even more so. They were still outside the doorway, taking selfies with a handful of young men and women.

One of the best things about the Rock Dragons was their universal appeal. They had fans of all genders and ages. This particular group were in their late teens, accompanied by a couple of women who looked like their teachers. School group on their way to somewhere, I guessed.

The last selfie was taken and the group dispersed, herded into the airport by the teachers.

It wasn't until I followed the guys in that they noticed me.

Strike was first to offer me a grin. "Hales! There you are. We missed you." And then he offered a sly smile to Axel.

It took a moment for the significance of that look, to register.

My heart sank down to my shoes. Of course he told them. Of course he had. What was it with guys?

For half a second, I thought he might have only confided in Strike, but then the rest of them were looking at the lead singer like he'd shouted it out loud.

Yeah, they knew all right.

Shit.

I could hardly bring myself to look at Axel. He was probably laughing at me. Thinking how he'd got me into bed and then bragged about it.

"I'm sure you did," I muttered. "We should hurry up or we'll miss our flight." Not likely, we were here early enough.

"Did Roman tell you—" Jude started.
