The longer we sat, the more his hands decided to wander. Wam, rough fingertips slipped under the hem of my shirt against my body, stroking me softly and sending goosebumps riding across my arms, but now he’d moved lower, into my joggers.

Deft fingers found my clit, and I laid my head back, enjoying the feel of him touching me. As he played with my core, he snuck in and slanted his full lips over mine, distracting me while giving me even more sensation. He pulled away from me for the briefest moment, leaving my mouth up to its own devices. “Ace…” I started chanting his name, and he had to quickly shove the hand not inside my pants up to cover my mouth and muffle my pleasure.

I kept climbing with each stroke. And when he ran a thick finger through my folds and slipped it into my core, I lost it. It took no time at all to find my peak, and gravity stole the orgasm from me, leaving me completely breathless.

He pulled his hand from my pants right as the credits started rolling. We’d missed the end of the movie. Worth it.

We could always go back and re-watch it.

The sun was shining brightlytoday, glinting off the water as we sat on Cooper’s Beach. I sat back and watched as Julian and Ben made a sand castle. My eyes scanned the beach, and I noticed how many people were out. Other families were enjoying the glorious weather and splashing around in the shallow surf as it lapped slowly against the shore.

We’d gone down and walked in the surf earlier today, and Ben had giggled so much. We’ve been to the beach many times over the last five years, but it’s never been like this. Seeing my little boy with such a big smile on his face was priceless.

I gazed down the beach, and my eyes stopped on The Clifton Hotel sitting up high on the hill. Silverbell was always a tourist town. Every summer, people from all over would come in for vacation. It was the most lucrative part of the year for all the businesses. Restaurants in town made up for the long winter of fewer people. The shops on Main Street were always a hot spot, so you tried to bypass it when you were out.

I dug my toes into the sand below me and enjoyed the warmth it provided.

“Mama! Look at our sand castle.”

“It looks great, sweetie!” I spoke a little louder than normal so he could hear me over the small waves crashing. Julian walked over and held his hand out to me, and I accepted it, allowing him to pull me up. I sunk into the sand as I walked over to where a ginormous sand castle sat. It seemed almost like a replica of The Clifton Hotel; standing strong with as much elegance as a sand castle could have. Each window had been strategically placed.

Pink and green miniature shovels were dug into the sand, waiting for their next move. Beside the shovels lie blue and yellow buckets. Obviously the devices used to make the peaks of the roof.

The attention to details in the whole thing told me that Julian had the bigger part in creating this masterpiece.

Ben and Julian stood by with hands on their hips, assessing their work; their stances identical to one another.

For a moment, I took in everything around me. Closing my eyes, I inhaled the salty smell of the ocean. I listened to the laughter and shouts from the families surrounding us.

It was reaching that point in the day where the sun was the most potent. I knew Benjamin had on sunscreen, but I still didn’t want to risk him getting sunburnt.

“Can we go for a walk?”

Julian cringed. “Where were you thinking? I’d like to avoid Main Street.”

I pointed down the beach to where my eyes had lingered previously. “Just along the beach here toward The Clifton?” The magnificent structure had a slate roof with dormer windows, white single siding, and a wrap around porch on the ground floor. It was every little girl's dream home, only a lot bigger. It stood regally like a sentinel over the beach, silent and solid.

It sat on the bluff and overlooked the white sandy beach and Silverbell below it.

The Clifton Hotel. Kane Heatherington owned the hotel, and, recently, he’d hired his girlfriend, Cali, to run the marketing portion of it now that she was home from college. Talk about a load of drama. Kane and Cali had kept their forbidden relationship a secret from her father, who was also Kane’s best friend. One day, he walked in on them, and a fight happened between her dad and Kane. Gossip ran rampant after the whole town found out, but, eventually, they became old news.

“Sounds good to me. You okay with that?” He turned to look down at Ben.

“Can we stop by the hotel, Mama?”I nodded at him, and he jumped up and down on the balls of his feet.

We passed the small cove on the beach where we used to swim when we were kids. I smiled to myself thinking of all the times Julian and I had snuck down there to fool around. The Old Mill was the normal hookup spot, but it seemed like no one remembered this little alcove existed. No one but us. The cove was where we partied as teenagers. Our friends would drive their jeeps down the beach. We’d make a big campfire-like thing. Someone would have music blasting through their speakers as we danced and drank the night away.

Ben was starting to slow down, so I decided we’d stop for a little while. The beach was a big stretch of nothing but sand and beautiful waters. My feet sank into the soft sand as I stopped to stare out at the ocean, the sound of the waves crashing into the shore calmed a part of me.

“Hey, guys, let’s stop here for a bit. I’m getting pretty tired.” I sighed as I dropped down to sit in the sand and watch the waves, hoping they’d join me without a fight.

Ben looked at Julian. “Mom is very opposed to any sort of physical activity.”

Julian chuckled and those dark orbs twinkled with wicked mischief. “Good to know, buddy. I remember her quite differently back in the day.” Good God, he did not just go there.

Yep, he did, and now there was a rose blush coloring my cheeks at the memories of all the physical activity he’d referred to; the kind between the sheets.
