“You have nothing you want to say?” he asks.

I look down at my food, then answer, with a firm, “No.” I stand and push my seat back. I’m trying my best not to look at him as I walk in the direction of my room, but when he says my name, I can’t help but meet his eyes.

“Can I join you?” he asks quietly.

I should tell him no. I mean, he did just tell me that he buys women for the sex trade. But for some reason, I give a simple, soft “yes” and continue on to my room. I hear his chair scrape across the floor as he gets up and follows me. I climb into bed, and he lifts the sheets and climbs in straight after me. Jake’s hand finds my hip, and he turns me, so I’m no longer on my side but on my back. He gets up real close to my ear and whispers, “If you want me to stop, say so now.”

I say nothing. His touch is something I welcome, and he knows it.

“I’ll take that as an invitation.” His hand slides under the waistband of my pants. When I lift my gaze to his face, I find him watching me.

“It’s so wrong,” I whisper.

“But it feels so right,” he says, slipping his hand even farther down. I lift my hips as he pushes the pants from me and then gets up, kicking the blanket away and hovering over me.

“What are we?” I ask him. “What is this?”

He smirks, dropping down and pushing my shirt up my stomach.

“It’s just sex, right?” I whisper, but he says nothing as he starts to kiss my stomach.

I hate that I get so lost in him.

How can someone make you forget about all the wrongs and only see them?

He’s all I see when he touches me—just him.

One hand slides up under my shirt and between my breasts until he reaches my throat. He squeezes either side of my neck lightly, and I lift my hips as his tongue touches me down there.

“Just sex?” I hear him mutter, but his mouth and tongue don’t stop moving. “With only, ever you,” he whispers, but I can no longer form words as he holds me in place with his hand on my neck, slightly applying pressure, and the fingers of the other slide into me with a beautiful rhythm I didn’t know he could produce. Every time he touches me, it feels like something brand new.

Sex with Jake is one of my favorite things.

I never knew a woman could have so many spots that turn her on.

Those words show how sheltered I was.

How dull my sex life was.

I wouldn’t say my sex life before was bad, just not spicy. We had sex, and that was the extent of it.

With Jake, I’m down for trying everything.

The hand around my throat right now proves it. Because though he applies pressure, he does it tenderly. I wonder if he is showing me that he won’t hurt me. Especially, considering how we woke up last time we were in a bed together.

“Holy…”

“Shit,” he finishes, his tongue stroking me like I’m his favorite meal.

He slides his fingers in and out as I come around them, not stopping until I feel completely spent. He removes his fingers and crawls up my body, letting go of my throat and gazing down at me.

“Ride me,” he demands and flips me over, so I’m straddling him. He drops his hands and puts them behind his head as he watches me.

“What are you doing?” I ask.

“You have it.”

“Have what?” I’m confused.
