“Peppermint and chocolate. Though I wish it tasted more like chocolate.”

I kept perusing the food menu and decided I would have some scones.

I found banana and oat scones and smiled happily. Ah, I loved those. We had those scones in St. Andrews at the little cafe that Wills and Kate met at. They were to die for. The waitress approached. "What can I get for you, love?"

I glanced up with a smile. "I'm going to have the banana and oat scones."

"Of course. And what about your mate?"

"Right. Him. I guess we'll share a scone. Scratch that, he can get his own."

She smiled. "You two close?"

I glanced toward the bathroom door. "Once. We were close once."

"Yeah, I know about that."

The woman to my right took a sip of her tea and moaned. "You were right. This is delightful, but I wish it had more chocolate.”

“Right? It’s a total missed opportunity.”

She cocked her head and studied me. “You're Nissa Montgomery."

I blinked in surprise then narrowed my gaze as I tried to place her. "I’m sorry, have we met?"

I glanced around looking for Westin. "Relax, I'm not going to hurt you. My name is Amelia Jansen. I work for Interpol."

My stomach flipped. "What does Interpol want with me?"

"I want to cut to the chase because I don't have the luxury of time considering who your mate is."

"What do you know about Westin?"

"I know that he's a very good bodyguard. He will risk his life to protect you."

I scooted back, not trusting her at all. "What do you want?"

"It's not so much what I want. It's more about what I need. But I'm going to give you something that you need first. So, you know, you'll see that I'm helping in good faith."

"I don't know you. Why would I believe anything you tell me?"

She sighed. "You are smarter than most people give you credit for." Her smile was soft.

"What do you want?"

"You are looking for your sister, and you haven't any leads for a while now."

"What do you know about my sister?"

"Not a lot. But I have a lead for you." She slipped over a piece of paper. "You can go ahead and research that on your own."

"Why would I trust you to help me?"

Her chuckle was rich and throaty. "Because I want something from you."

"Of course."

"Everyone is looking for something."
