“He even breathes at you the wrong way and I’m coming for him,” Atlas states casually, in the same tone he ordered my drink.

“I don’t think he will do anything else.” He’s an idiot if he does.

“He better not,” Decker adds, scowling. “He has no idea the kind of enemies he’s going to make. He won’t be able to show his face anywhere. He’ll have to go into hiding like Marko.”

I glance down at the reminder of Marko, feeling like shit for not telling them all what I know.

“He won’t be able to show his facenow,” Atlas adds. “He comes into my bar while I’m there and we will have a problem. He better hope for his sake that I never see him again.”

I roll my eyes. “I appreciate you all being so protective, but it’s fine.”

It’s fine because Atlas showed up. Could I have handled it on my own? Absolutely. But I’m glad it didn’t come to that. I just want to leave it now, unless he tries something again. Then there’s going to be hell to pay. Technically nothing happened, and I think the best bet is to just try to forget about it, and if it is still a problem, then I will deal with it then.

Cara turns to Atlas. “You know she’s a black belt, right? She could have kicked his ass if it came down to it.”

“She did tell me that once. But it doesn’t matter how good of a fighter she is, that doesn’t mean she should have to ever use those skills. Especially if I’m around,” he says, winking at me. “Even though I now know she could probably kick my ass, too.”

“You want to try and see?” I tease. “I’m also a former gymnast, so I’m extra flexible in my kicks.”

He hands me my drink and smiles over at me, eyes darkening. “Yes, yes, I would.”

Cara clears her throat. “Should we move to a table and order some food? I’m hungry.”

I take a sip of my drink, my eyes still locked with Atlas.

I want to drag him out of here, and use him to forget all my fucking problems.

And the way he’s looking at me right now? I know he wants me, too.

I couldn’t be with him without telling him the truth, though. It wouldn’t be right.

But he’s so fucking sexy and I’d really like to—

“Natty?” Cara says, pulling me out of my thoughts.

“Yeah?”

“What were you thinking about? I called your name three times.”

“Nothing,” I lie.

He’s just so fucking hot, and he does this thing with his tongue that drives me insane.

If I don’t tell him I’m going to ruin my trust with him, and I don’t want to do that. And what if Marko does go after Rhett, or Con, or the Knights? I couldn’t live with that on my conscience.

I just need a little time to think about it all.

But time is the one thing that I don’t have.

Chapter Twelve

Atlas

The way she’s looking at me right now, I want to pay the bill and get the fuck out of here.

“How’s the garage going?” Decker asks Aries and me.

“Busy,” Aries replies, while I’m still staring at Natalie and wondering how a human being was created so perfect. “Orion has been bringing us a lot of business. He knows a shit ton of people who seem to have a lot of money they want to spend on bikes.”
