I gently grab the front of her neck so that she may not escape me this time. Morgan Nichols will not be allowed to back out of this deal. It is too precious of an offer. Too much of a temptation to back away from.

I have taken many souls, but no one has offered to give themselves to me so freely before. Morgan has offered her body, heart, and her soul.

I will not say no. I cannot say no.

“You are mine, human,” I growl resolutely.

She swallows, and I watch her slender throat work for a moment before capturing her lips like she captured mine the moment we met in that little shop of hers.

“Grimm!” she gasps the name I assume she has given me, her eyelids fluttering as the taste of something sweet overcomes my taste buds.

I do not know the flavor, perhaps one of the copious amounts of candies she consumed, or perhaps a flavor unique only to her, but I savor it anyway because I cannot get enough of her.

My hands roam her neck until they reach the back of her head. I pull her to me, letting her fall down on me as I fully lie back. Morgan’s tiny hands investigate the flesh of my chest, but soon they are removing my hood and the poof hat she purchased for me and threading into my hair. She’s curious of me, and I of her.

I have never had a human before.

She whimpers tiny moans of pleasure. The sounds remind me of something beautiful. It makes me lose all control.

Flipping her over so that she is beneath me, unable to leave, I take her chin and guide her mouth back to mine, but before I allow our lips to meet, I stare into the depths of her eyes and steal a glimpse at the soul I still need to reap.

The sudden thought of allowing this female’s life to end makes me uneasy, but I dispel the unnecessary human emotion. I cannot allow it to consume me whole, as Morgan has.

“These lips belong to me,” I growl.

Her eyes blaze with lust, her long hair falling around her face. “You don’t have to tell me twice.”

“No more thinking of taking other males to the back row,” I also say, noticing another kernel in her hair. This theater is a filthy, sticky mess, one I wish to forget, but the sight of her makes it impossible to want to leave when she looks as delicious as the treats she faithfully consumes.

Her lips curve deviously. “Is that what this is about? Are you jealous?”

Of course I am fucking jealous.

This human ismine. No one else is allowed to kiss her, to touch her. No one else is allowed to reap her. Only I will claim her and deliver her safely.

And I swear on all the ancient gods of the afterworld, if another male dares to take her to the back row, I will reap them before their time. That is a promise.

“No,” I lie.

Her kiss-bruised lips curl further, her smile widening. “You are.”

“I am not.”

“Are you falling in love with me, Grimm? Only after one date?”

Yes.

“No.”

“Because if you fall in love with me, I get to live until I’m seventy-nine, remember?”

I lean down until our faces almost touch, the desire to just stop talking and do what she has already begged me to do rising in me, an urge hard to ignore.

“I think you have forgotten the second deal we just struck, Morgan. If I claim you here, I can claim your soul as well. Your words, not mine.”

“B-but—”

“No buts. I am claiming you now, and that is the end of that.”
