“What?” I asked, shrinking under the intensity of his gaze.

“You, shortcake. Only you.”

My brows pinched. “Are you sure you’re not drunk?”

“Is it so hard to believe I want you?” He moved his mouth to my ear again. “That I can’t wait until the day I get to feel your pussy fluttering around my dick?”

“Noah,” his name caught in my throat as a breathy moan. Because he was so outrageous but in the best kind of way.

“You know you love it, shortcake.” His eyes found mine once more. “We both know she loves it.”

“She?”

His eyes dropped down my body, and I choked on another breath. “You are something else.”

“Come home with me tonight.”

“Yeah, duh, we live together.”

“No, shortcake, I mean, come home with me.” He gazed at me. “Connor is staying at Ella’s, and I heard Fallon apologizing to your brother earlier. Pretty sure he’ll be balls deep—and you don’t want to know that information.”

“Correct.”

“So… will you?”

“Will I what?” My heart crashed violently in my chest as I played dumb.

Because this was crazy.

He was crazy.

He lowered his head, getting in my space, stealing my air. Noah wasn’t just some guy. A Laker. A playboy. A good time. He was so much more than that.

I felt it every time he looked at me.

“Say yes, shortcake. Let me take you home.”

“I…” I gave him a small, shy nod.

Maybe I would regret it tomorrow, but I also knew without a shadow of a doubt that I would regret it if I said no.

“Yes,” I breathed.

His eyes sparked with heat, making my insides quiver and shake as I moved my mouth to his ear and whispered, “Take me home, Noah.”

CHAPTER 30

NOAH

Connor: I hope to God you know what you’re doing.

Noah: No idea what you’re talking about. Aurora wanted to leave, I offered to take her home.

Connor: Tell me that again after Austin breaks your face.

Fuck.

My fist rubbed on my thigh as Aurora sat beside me quietly in the Uber.
