Page 23 of Double Her Pleasure

Shaking her head in disbelief at her sudden and unexpected quandary, Jill slid her hand over the lock-pad and cleared her throat nervously as the door slid open in silent invitation.

“Is anything wrong, Jill?” Brydis asked quietly, the soft note of concern in his voice easing a small part of her anxiety.

She expelled a sharp breath and smiled faintly over at him. “Of course not. This is just a lot to suddenly take in despite the fact that I’ve been thinking of little else over the months.”

His lips quirked sympathetically. “I understand. I believe I speak for both of us when I say that Agor and I feel similarly.”

“I’m not nervous,” Agor immediately denied as he slowly turned to take in the entirety of her home with a look of interest.

Brydis snorted and shared an amused look with her that gave her an immediate sense of belonging in result. “Of course not, Agor,” he agreed easily. “The fact that you can’t seem to stand still for even a moment demonstrates that so well.”

Jill swallowed back her amusement, not wishing to offend, but Agor grinned in amusement over at his twin.

“Well, perhaps a little,” he admitted with a chuckle. “But that doesn’t mean that it’s not outweighed by other feelings.”

“What feelings would those be?”

Jill didn’t know what she was thinking by even asking that. The words had just popped from her mouth without any intercession of her common sense. What, did she think he was going to stand there and admit undying love and that he had been suffering in her absence so much that he, too, was struggling with the reality of being together finally? Yet wouldn’t she feel humiliated if his confessionthat she asked forwas anything less than that? The scorching heat of embarrassment crept up her neck.Fuck, just go ahead and sound needy as hell.

Agor peered at her for a long moment before turning away to exchange a look with his twin that she couldn’t interpret. She had no idea what passed between them, but when Agor regarded her again, it was in a relaxed manner. His blue wings shifted behind his shoulders as if settling more comfortably but at the same time reminding her that their current appearance was deceptively much smaller than their full length that she’d witnessed outside. Tipping his head, he met her gaze inquisitively but with a great deal of warmth that she felt to her bones.

“I do not think there are words adequate enough to express in your language what I’ve felt since our parting. What I feel now,” he murmured. “Though I can try.”

Jill stared expectantly, her intake of breath lightening so much in her attentive waiting that she came close to forgetting to breathe as he paused contemplatively. His expression shifted as he appeared to search for the right words. After a few minutes passed, his mouth twisted wryly, and he looked over at his twin beseechingly.

“Brydis, help me out here.”

The male in question stretched his wings to only a quarter of their span as he considered her. “I think the reason that there are no words that adequately describe it is because nothing of the likeness exists in her language. I feared as much, and you recall Zherist suspected that it wasn’t something that humans possessed among them. Our scientists certainly do not believe that humans have taliazon since we’ve encountered no other species that possess the same bond that we do.”

Jill shook her head in confusion despite the small bubble of excitement that rose within her. The truth felt so close that she was certain that it was nearly within her grasp.

“Taliazon? What is that?”

He gestured between all three of them. “The taliazon is what connects all of us. We explained before to you that our males find their compatible twin. We discover this through the taliazon. we can see the play of energies around the person we are compatible with and it draws us to them in choosing our twin, but this pales considerably to what is experienced when we locate the female meant to join our avrhastal because it is joined with an instinctual need to join and complete the avrhastal.”

“Join,” she murmured.

“Fuck. Breed,” Agor put in, his eyes lighting up with a powerful intensity that stoked the lust already burning in her belly from their short flight over. “It’s a biological instinct and need that makes us distressed in separation and will continuously bring us back together because it draws us back to each other when we are within close enough range.”

“There have been some bonds that our lore says are of such a high degree of compatibility that they could sense them from even the greatest of distances,” Brydis murmured in a hushed, reverent tone.

Jill shivered, her eyes sliding shut as her hammering pulse jumped.Yes. That was what she felt. Perhaps not to that legendary intensity, but she could conceive it just from what she’d experienced, though she couldn’t see anything that they spoke of.

“I don’t see anything when I look at you. Not straight on, anyway,” she admitted. Her eyes fluttered open, and she peered up at them. “But there is something, a sort of pearlescent purple glow around you that I sometimes catch.”

Brydis smiled encouragingly. “That sounds similar to what we see, but it is far clearer for us, and we always see it. Your eyes are likely not equipped to perceive it the way ours are, but this is good to hear.”

“I do feel it, though,” she hurried to add in her mounting excitement now that she knew she hadn’t been slowly losing her mind. “I thought I was going crazy. I kept wanting to leave and head toward the mountains until suddenly I didn’t.”

“Since this last rain?” Agor asked and smiled at her nod in affirmation as he crowded in closer. “It’s because we were here. We’ve been stuck in Rhapsody for the entirety of this last downpour, waiting it out, except for my own attempt to find you.” His eyes narrowed. “Did you feel anything?”

Her breath caught, unable to believe it. “A few nights ago, I could have sworn that you were out there. Are you saying it wasn’t my imagination?”

Brydis closed in on her other side and she gasped as she felt a pulse of something sliding over her simultaneously, and heat flooded through her until her panties were thoroughly soaked from it. His pelvis brushed her side, and she nearly moaned at the hot, hard press of his cock revealing his own aroused state.

“Do you feel that?” Brydis whispered. “And I’m not speaking of my cock. Do you feel our taliazon touching yours?”

“Fuck. Oh my gods, yes,” she whispered and moaned as Agor’s claw skimmed lightly over her nipple.
