I hear the shift in the music as she comes down off of the stage, her skin faintly glistening with sweat, her lovely blue eyes fixed on mine, sultry and warm. I can feel the throb of lust in my veins as she comes closer, gyrating over me, and the temptation to negotiate for more is almost too much. I could have her moaning above me again, hear the wet sounds of her fingers against her flesh, could feel her heated release soaking through the fabric of my pants onto my cock. I feel myself throb and harden even more at that memory, at the memory of stroking myself in the bathroom with my flesh wet from her orgasm.

Wait. It will be sweeter if you wait. If you ask for more now, she will only ever see you as a customer. You want her to desire you as more than that.

I can tell she’s angling for it, whether out of her own personal desire or a desire for more money tonight; I’m not quite sure. And I want to be sure. She sways over me, arching her back, hersmall breasts pushed forward, so they’re very close to my face. When she turns, gyrating above me, her ass is so very close to rubbing against my aching cock that it hurts.

By the end of the dance, she’s straddling me without actually touching me, her hands gripping the back of the sofa as she rolls her hips above mine, her legs spread so that no part of her brushes against me. It’s sweet torture, the warm scent of her sweat and perfume filling the air, and I resolve to make it home before I come tonight, to use her lingerie again so I can keep that scent in my nostrils as I find my release.

As the music slows, she slides away from me, gracefully slipping out of reach. “What else do you want tonight?” she asks, her voice still smooth and sultry, but I can hear the hint of irritation in her voice.

This is exactly why I can’t ask for more tonight. She sees me as something to be finished with as quickly as possible. A way to make money and then get rid of me, because she can’t reconcile how I make her feel.

I want her to feel the same desire I do, the same painful, consuming ache–and then I want her world to come crashing down around her as she realizes the mistake she made.

“Nothing,” I tell her simply, and I see the startled look in her eyes in the instant before she smooths it over. “The dance was enough. Nothing more...for now.”

“That can’t be true,” she says with a laugh, tossing her hair over one shoulder. “Men like you always want more. They’re never satisfied with going backward, once they’ve crossed a line. They always keep pushing.”

She steps back, leaning against the stage, still perfectly posed. “So what is it you want, Mikhail? I know you didn’t pay extra only for me to do the exact same thing you could have seen on the stage outside, but in private. We’re past that now.”

“Alright, then. If it’s honesty you want from me, then I suppose I can give it to you.” I give her a half-smile. “It’s a bit embarrassing, honestly.”

She rolls her eyes. “I’ve heard it all in here. But there are no promises. You might have all the money in the world, but in here–” Her tongue flicks out, dragging over the swell and curve of her lower lip, and I know it’s on purpose. “I decide what I do and don’t do.”

“Oh, it wouldn’t be in here.” I grin at the flicker of uncertainty that crosses her face. “I want a date with you,Athena.”

I see it again, that hint of nervousness at the way I say her name, the emphasis I put on it, letting her know that I want to know who she really is. That I don’t buy the fake stage name, that I don’t evenpretendto, the way some men do.

It pleases me how much it catches her off guard. She takes a full second to respond, as if that were the last thing she ever expected to hear coming out of my mouth.

“That’s out of the question.” She bites off each word, flatly, as if to close the topic before it can even really be explored. But I’m not so easily dissuaded.

“I’ll pay for it, of course, if that’s what you want.” I lean back against the couch, watching her carefully. I don’t want to miss a single reaction, a single expression on her lovely face. “For your time,” I add quickly, as if it’s an afterthought. “Nothing more, if you don’t want it.”

She shakes her head. “That’s ridiculous,” she says flatly. “Why would you do that? To spend an evening with me? I’m not that easily fooled, and frankly, I’m offended that you would think I would be.”

I shrug casually. “You can believe me or not, of course. But it’s the truth,Athena. You don’t belong here, in this seedy place. I want to take you out somewhere nicer than this. Somewhere that I can enjoy your company without being reminded of how very–transactionalthis all is.” I wave a hand around the room, as if all of this feels distasteful to me.

She narrows her eyes, but I can feel her wavering. It was a calculated ask, because I know if she is Natalia, as I believe her to be, she must miss the trappings of the life she had before terribly. I remembered the way she’d breathed in when she got into my rented car, her fingers sliding over the soft leather as if sheneededthe caress of it, and now it all makes sense. She’s a diamond lost in a coal mine, and she needs a night to sparkle, to remember what she used to be.

“Just one night,” I coax gently. “A five-star dinner, paid for in full, and then more on top of that for your time. Anexperience. You won’t get that from any of the other customers here, and you know it.”

She sucks her lower lip into her mouth, chewing on it, and I push forward that last bit, naming a figure that I know is ridiculous. “For your time,” I tell her, emphasizing the last word. “Only that, if you want it to be that way. If there happens to be more, we can discuss it then.”

Her eyes widen at the amount, and I see her hesitate for one final second before she nods.

“Alright,” she says finally. “But you pay at the beginning of the date. And it will be only that. Dinner. The rules remain the same as they are in here–you may not touch me.”

Oh, sweetkotenok, you’re going tobegme for more before the night is over.

“Of course.” I smile at her. “I hope I’ve proven myself to be a gentleman so far. I haven’t taken more than you’ve permitted. This will be the same.”

She glances up at the clock. “Your time is up,” she says. “I’m off Thursday night. You can make arrangements then. I’ll meet you on the same block where you picked me up the other night.”

Slowly, I rise from the couch. I don’t hold out my hand to shake on the deal, remembering how she reacted to being touched earlier. Instead, I just hold her gaze, letting the smile teasing the corner of my lips spread over my face.

“I look forward to it.”

Natalia
