This trumps the fear of being recognized. I have to be cautious, but a trip to the ancient ruins is worth the risk.

Is Derek also worth the risk?

I heard from my lawyer that you want media, film, and foreign rights to my manuscript. What if I don’t want it to become a movie? I just want the book to be published so I can download it on my tablet and enjoy it.

You’re making things extremely difficult.

Regards,

F. Gil

My acquisitions team read your book, and they’re already discussing the possibility of making a television series or movie based on your characters. That will change when you send the new draft.

Though making it into a movie wouldn’t happen soon, we want to be prepared.

If you read the terms, you can see we’re giving you some concessions. You can help me with the screenwriting process. You can help the casting director and have plenty of input during filming. We will pay you generously. I hope this doesn’t change your mind and you still want to work with us.

Sincerely,

P. Cooperson

Subject: ANONYMITY

October 9th, 9:01 a.m. EST

You and your CEO read it. Stop talking about yourself in third person.

What part of anonymity and wanting to stay anonymous did you not understand? Here are the definitions, just in case you not only don’t know how to pronounce them but have trouble understanding the meaning of the words.

An·o·nym·i·ty /?an?'nim?de/ - noun: the condition of being anonymous.

A·non·y·mous /?'nän?m?s/ - adjective: (of a person) not identified by name; of unknown name.

You’re not making a movie out of my book or the series. Did I tell you I’m outlining book two? I finished book one with the changes I think are appropriate. Let me know your thoughts.
