Ava (Day 2)

I crawledout from under the bed. Sleeping next to Tristan was the best sleep I had gotten in years. I was able to close my eyes without seeing my father’s face.

Tristan was gone. I didn’t know what time he left. I was just grateful he willingly slept under a bed for me. My cheeks burned, I could not be falling for him and Ethan. Could I?

Knock. Knock.

I scrambled around, looking for the letters. I didn’t want anyone to see either one of them. The one from Adam was still on the bed. The threatening one was on the floor near the bed. Hopefully, Tristan didn’t see it. I shoved that and the other one in the nightstand.

“Come in.” I hopped on the bed like I had been there the whole time.
