“I will open the door. Don’t move,” I demanded.

I ran around the car and made her cover her eyes before helping her out of the car. She made some remarks about being just like my nephew.

So to be different, I picked her up. She was light and easily fit in my arms. It’s where she belonged.

Once inside, I set her down in a chair. The familiar buzz filled the room. She wouldn’t be the only one in the chair today.

“Open,” I said.

Ava did as she was told and looked around. She scrunched up her face. Instead of happiness, she looked confused.

“You don’t like it?” I asked. Shit, I thought this was a good surprise.

“It’s not that. It’s… well, why are we in a tattoo shop?” She kept staring at the artwork on the wall.

“You said you wanted to move on. Ice here is the best. He can cover that scar with any tattoo you like.” I pointed to my tattoo artist. He was a little strange with his bright blue mohawk, but he was the best.

“Anything? Like two pink fists?” She smiled. That was the look I had been hoping for.

“Yes, and I’ll even get a matching one.” What’s one more tattoo?

“Really? Why?” Her face dropped. “What happens when the marriage contract is up?”

“What do you mean?” I couldn’t make the connection.

“If we have matching tattoos. I mean, can I still leave when the marriage is up?” She looked anywhere but at me.

“Of course, I would never make you stay with me.” Anger coursed through my veins. I would make sure she never wanted to leave me.

Once she was satisfied there were no strings attached, she got ready for her ink.Ice did a quick freehand to make sure it was what she wanted. She squealed. “Here’s to another bad decision.”

I assumed I was her other bad decision. She would realize how wrong she was about that. I was the best thing that ever happened to her, well I would make sure I was.

Ice instructed her to lower her pants. I moved my chair to make sure he didn’t get handsy and no one else got a glimpse. He shook his head but didn’t remark. On the way over, I texted him to explain and to make sure he was free. He said for me, he was always free.

The buzz of the gun filled the air. Ava squeezed her eyes shut. Then the gun hit her skin. She relaxed her eyes. Her mouth parted. At first, it looked like shock. No, I was wrong. It was ecstasy.

The pain turned her on. A moan escaped her lips. Ice turned to me and grinned. I knew what he was thinking, it was the same thing I had been thinking about since I saw her. Oddly enough, I wasn’t jealous. Having him turn her on got me hard. What did that say about me?

He continued to work on her as she gripped the arms of the chair. Each time he would hit a new spot, she would moan. I could barely take it. She had to be soaked. I wanted to taste her again. I couldn’t wait to have her. Fuck, my dick pressed against my jeans.

After he was done with her, I got in the chair. I had to think of anything but her so my dick would go down. Ava watched me the whole time. She kept licking her lips and staring at my dick. I should have let her return the favor when she offered.

“Tattooing you was a pleasure.” Ice turned to Ava when he was done with me.

“I love it.” Ava smiled at him.

“Time to go.” I grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the shop.

I wanted to take her in my car. Patience was never my strong suit. Why would I need patience when I always got what I wanted? With her, I have to take my time.

My phone buzzed.

Dad

We need to talk.

I clicked the phone off and took Ava home. He was the last person I wanted to deal with. He was probably making sure I was getting married, so our inheritance didn’t get fucked with. He always viewed me as a screwup.
