She looks at me, and then Tanner. Slowly, she nods.

“So, how long will you be gone then?” she whispers.

I look at Tanner.

“I’ll stay with her,” I grunt.

He glares at me. “Yeah, no.”

“Please?”

We both turn to see Cora looking shaken and worried.

“Please? I really don’t want to be by myself right now. And I can’t really go to the police station with you.” She rakes her teeth over her lip. “Can Bishop just stay with me?”

He turns to give me a hard look. “Gee, I don’t know,” he mutters dryly.

“Yes,” I grunt back, staring right at him. “Yes, I can.”

His scowl deepens, but he doesn’t say shit.

“Fine,” Tanner finally mutters. “I won’t be long.” He turns and heads out the door, leaving me alone with her.

Cora and I are both quiet for a full minute after he’s gone, before she finally turns to look at me.

“What you saw…” she mumbles.

I frown. “I shouldn’t have—”

“I…” she blushes. “I didn’t stop it,” she whispers, her voice thick and edged. “I think…” her blush deepens, and she looks away.

“Cora…”

“I think I liked you watching,” she croaks out. “And I don’t know why.”

I groan quietly, and instantly, my cock thickens in my pants.

I do, I think to myself. She liked me watching because this good girl has a bad spark in her aching to get out.

“I could have left,” I growl. “Or I could have interrupted and stopped it.”

“Did you…?”

“What?”

“Nothing,” she blurts.

I grin. She blushes deeper before she takes a shaky breath.

“Did you like what you saw?” she whispers.

“You know I did,” I growl.

Cora gasps quietly. “How much did you like it?”

I groan, growling deep in my throat. “Careful, little girl.”

She trembles. Her teeth drag over her lip. Christ, she has no idea how tempting that is.
