She looked at him. At the man who’d offered her nothing but gentleness even in his rampant seduction of her senses. The man who was staring at her as if she was the only living thing to exist in the universe. Sharing this moment with a stranger was the closest she’d ever been to really being herself. To reacting honestly. And she didn’t want to stop being honest.

‘I don’t want to stop kissing,’ she said, because the vast crater in her chest wasn’t for the mother she wouldn’t know, but for the parts of herself she’d never been given the opportunity to explore. Her motivations. Hersexuality. ‘I don’t want you to stop kissingme,’ she corrected.

‘Then I won’t stop.’

A slow smile spread across his lips and she wanted to know what it felt like tofeelhis smile. But she was frozen. Entranced by the man who’d kissed her body with the city lights at his back, in the middle of a garden so beautiful it almost didn’t seem real.

Thisdidn’t feel real.

She nodded because she didn’t have the right words—anywords—because all that was inside her mouth was a gasp as he dipped his head. He placed hard kisses on her throat. Between her breasts. On her stomach. And then he was on his knees, spreading the slit in her dress to reveal her white cotton panties.

He didn’t look up, but kept his gaze there. Gently, he stroked at the waistband. The heart of her pulsed and clenched tight.

She gripped his shoulders and said the only thing she could. ‘Please...’

His mouth sealed to the part of her that ached for him the most. The intensity was so close to the sweetest pain that she couldn’t do anything but let her mouth fall open and try to breathe.

‘Ahh...’She arched her neck. Her back pressed against the hard wall. She closed her eyes and gripped on to the lapels of his jacket.

A firm finger followed the seam of her panties and pulled them across. Exposing the pulsing heart of her. He licked her without the barrier of her panties. Tongued her with masterful stokes along the folds of her opening.

He pushed his tongue inside her.

Everything she’d thought she knew about her body—about the pleasure to be found with the exploration of her fingers—was obliterated, smashed to dust, as he put the pad of his thumb to her core and pulled his tongue out only to thrust it into her again.

She gasped with pleasure, loudly and fiercely.

He was unrelenting in his ministrations as he moved faster, the pace of his tongue increasing. And she let him guide her. Guide her to a place she hadn’t known existed. A place where her mind was blank all but for the driving need to behere. To feel the building tension in her body, getting tighter and tighter with seemingly no end. And she didn’t want it to end. Didn’t know how it could end without her shattering into a million pieces.

His mouth suddenly claimed her nub. His thumb moved to her opening...parting her. He slipped a finger inside her.

It was then that Flora’s world exploded.

He held her steady against his mouth. Let her body rock against his lips as she screamed in ecstasy into the night sky until she had nothing left to give.

He pulled his mouth from her, easing his grip on her hips. His fingers quick, but gentle, he slid her panties back into place and shifted her dress.

He looked up. Her pulse hammered.Hard.Because his eyes echoed what she already knew. This shared intensity under the stars was only the beginning.

He stood, covered her bare breasts. And she let him encase her trembling body in the scent of him. The heat of him. Her throat dry, she swept her eyes over him. This man she’d let touch her body. Claim her mouth in her first kiss. All her kisses. She didn’t want to wait. Go back to her room. She needed him.Now.

‘Take me here,’ she pleaded. ‘Take me now.’

She spread her fingers, moving them over the solid arc of his shoulders, and tried to pull his mouth back to hers. But he dodged her lips and claimed the sensitive spot behind her ear.

‘I have a place,’ he said, and with a slide of his hand the blackness of the wall behind her turned translucent. Lights shone where none had been before. Like her dad’s glasses on a sunny day...

‘They’re windows?’ she said huskily, her eyes widening. ‘Glass?’

‘Yes,’ he said.

‘Is that how you saw me?’ she asked, as what lay beyond the glass was exposed, watching as the big city revealed it hid more secrets than just the circumstances of her birth.

It hid magic in plain sight.

It was a room. Rooms.

His eyes flashed. ‘Do you want to come inside?’
