All three of them stared at me with wide eyes.

“I think Ana would say you’re dead,” Mare murmured.

“Or start planning your funeral,” Sunny tossed out.

Snorts escaped me, and Dots grinned.

Good old Ana.

Honestly, it was nice to remember her, but I was glad she had joined the unseelie. Things had been much happier since then, even for me, and I typically stayed away from everyone else to keep them free from my foul mood.

“Realistically, if I had to guess, I’d say it means he thinks of himself as yours,” Mare admitted. “Giving someone your full name is handing them power over you—and that’s not something any of the fae would give lightly, even when trying to convince one of us to be his mate. Why did he give it to you?”

“He told me to use it.”

Sunny whistled. “He wants you to call him into your room so he can have his dirty, dirty way with you.”

My cheeks flushed. “Seriously, Sunny?”

Dots smiled. “Seriously, he probably wants to make sure you’re okay. When Ervo woke him up, he was kind of hit with everything at once. And Ervo had some bastard’s blood on his hand, so obviously someone did something to you that he shouldn’t have. Priel clearly cares a lot about you.”

“Clearly to you, but not to me,” I muttered.

Her smile morphed into a grin. “That’s what friends are for, girly.”

My fire rippled over my skin, and I nodded. “Thanks. I’ll think about everything you said.”

“We’re watching a chick flick after dinner, feel free to join us,” Sunny called after me. “Also, January will probably break into your room to hear the story when she gets here, so prepare yourself.”

I bit back a grin as I shut the door to my room behind me. January wouldn’t break in; she valued her own privacy too much to violate mine. But shewouldbe pissed that she’d missed the drama.

I wantedto clear my mind, so I headed into the shower. Before I turned the water on, though, I remembered what Priel had done the last time he was in there. He’d just caught himself on fire, and when the flames died down, he’d been clean.

That sounded pretty nice, so I shut my eyes and reached for the hot magic in my abdomen.

It slid through my body and over my skin, and a warm peace settled some invisible part of me.

I was going to be alright.

When the flames slid back inside me, I let out a long breath.

Honestly, I felt really refreshed.

My fireproof tank and shorts were clean too, so that was nice. Not having to wash them all the damn time would be awesome.

But with that taken care of, I no longer had an excuse not to use Priel’s name the way he’d asked me to. If Mare was right, and he reallywasworried about me, I wanted to know.

Plus, I was kind of paranoid that in his anger, he would start a fight, and I would really have to enforce the ridiculous threat I’d made about that.

Which would screw me, basically, because I still wanted the blond bastard.

I made it to the center of my room and wrapped my arms around my abdomen so they didn’t fidget awkwardly.

My lips formed the syllables of his name slowly.

Lo—preel
