The ceiling was tall and wide, with stalactites shaped like water droplets seemingly dripping toward the living space. They shimmered in many different neutral colors, and made the whole damn room feel fancy.

Stalagmites bordered the expansive room as well, shaped similarly to the ones coming off of the ceiling, but stretching upward.

As far as the space’s contents, it was incredible. One side of the room held a large, bubbling pool of steaming water. Another side held a huge kitchen, with a walk-in pantry missing a door so I could see right into it. Against the third wall was a gigantic shower with just one thick, clear-glass wall, and a door leading into what I assumed was the rest of the bathroom. To the side of that, a gigantic mattress was set up.

The center of the space possessed couches, fae bean bags, and chairs, clearly designed for comfort.

The final wall, which we were standing right up against, was a massive stretch of paintings. Mural, after mural, after mural, coated the wall with Priel’s gorgeous landscapes, all of them featuring a small-looking hellhound.

I noticed a slight discoloration on its back leg, and then noticed a few other similar ones.

My eyes widened when I realized what they were.

Brands.

The small hellhound was me.

My gaze jerked toward Priel.

He gave me a heart-stopping grin. “You’re not the only one who dreams, Gorgeous. I thought you just had unique fur. Unlike yours, mine weren’t visions. Just my imagination tangling with Vevol’s magic to show me the female I knew deep down was supposed to be mine.”

I opened my mouth, but then closed it when I realized I didn’t know what to say to that.

It was overwhelming, but in an absolutely incredible way.

He brushed a kiss against my forehead. He’d taken to doing that often, and I loved it more than I could’ve even imagined.

My gaze caught on another doorless closet off to the side, and happiness swelled within me when I saw the assload of both paint and books within. Priel hadn’t brought them there for me, but I knew they would be mine, too.

“Well?” He squeezed my hip, and I realized he’d wrapped his arm around my waist again while I was checking out his house.

“It’s perfect,” I admitted.

And as I looked closer, I realized it was the same place I’d seen bits and pieces of in my dreams.

That realization made everything feel much, much more settled.

And right.

Really, really right.

“Good.” He scooped me up off the ground and hauled me toward the bed.

“What are we doing?” I asked him.

“Sleeping,” he grumbled.

“You sound really excited about that,” I drawled back.

“I’d rather we get naked together, but I don’t trust myself to stay in control while I’m this tired,” he admitted.

Control?

That was what he was worried about?

I bit back a snort.

He set me on the bed.
