“Of course not,” he scoffed.
My defenses rose, and I tried to shove him away from me.
He didn’t budge. “Sunny and Teris merged their scents slightly by kissing more intensely. We’ll do the same.”
“Like hell we will. Step away from me, now,” I bit out.
He took the tiniest step back.
His erection was still trapped against me, but I forced myself to remember that he wasn’t attracted to me; he was attracted to the fact that I was a woman.
“I’m not doing this,” I told him, forcing my voice to remain steady.
His nostrils flared, and hot anger burned in his eyes.
He did step back, though.
Finally, I could breathe.
“My pack lives close by. I spoke with them; they’re keeping other fae away while I rest. They’re trustworthy. I can introduce you.” His words were ground out.
Was he offering other men for me to make out with, to combine my scent with?
Hurt bloomed in my chest.
The bastardreallydidn’t want me.
“Let’s do it now. You can sleep while I talk to them,” I agreed, hiding the hurt behind my angry façade.

Fuck, I hated having emotions.
“Fine.” He stepped past me, and my eyes were glued to his backside as he made quick work of the rock wall that reallywasthe exit of his home. My body was stronger since I’d become a fae, but I still moved slowly as I began climbing up. It was at least fifteen or twenty feet, so… scary as hell.
Priel’s hand stretched out as I neared the top.
I wanted to take it, but then again, I also wanted to be naked with him.
