“Zayde, Zayde, Zayde,” she panted. “So…good.” I thrust up, hard, and then I was coming, my dick pulsing inside her and filling her with my cum.

“Sorry,” she whispered when I pulled out, the sight of my cum dripping out of her making my dick twitch, despite the fact that I’d just emptied my balls.

My gaze shot to hers. “For what?”

“Um. I messed up your hair a bit. And there’s some lipstick…” Trailing off, she waved a hand in the general direction of my face. I glanced in the mirror and shook my head, seeing the amusement in her eyes reflected in mine.

“I hope Arlo still keeps this bathroom well stocked,” I muttered with a grin.

Twisting around, Fallon peered in the mirror, laughing when she caught sight of herself. “Oh, bloody hell. Everyone will be able to tell what we’ve been doing.”

“I think they already guessed from the way I dragged my girlfriend away from them the second I had you in my arms.”

“True.” We smiled at each other, and was it my imagination, or were smiles coming much easier to me lately? They seemed to be happening all the time. If I wasn’t careful, I’d lose my reputation as the brooding one of the Four. I made a mental note to throw out a few of my so-called “serial killer” stares when we got back to the party, just to even things up.

When we were cleaned up and all evidence was cleared away from the bathroom, I wrapped my arm around Fallon’s waist, and we joined the party.

“Arlo’s invited everyone, hasn’t he? This doesn’t feel like the kind of parties I used to have to go to.”

She was right. Scanning the room, I saw Creed deep in conversation with Jessa’s brother, Austin, and Paul Drummond. Over by the window, Obie and Mack were standing with West and Lena, studying something on West’s phone. In the centre of the huge room, in the space reserved for dancing, West’s friend Rumi and two of his other mates were doing a loose interpretation of dancing with Kinslee and a group of girls from uni. And Caiden, Winter, Cassius, and Jessa were over by the bar. Caiden was talking to James Granville, and was that a smile on his face? My eyes had to be deceiving me. With a smirk directed at my best mate, I pulled Fallon closer.

“Yeah, and look at how well they’re all getting on.” Alstone Holdings staff members, from the managers to the maintenance staff, mingled with our friends from various different backgrounds, our families, and the rest of the elite, and somehow, it worked. Maybe because Arlo had cultivated the guest list to exclude the snobby asshole types that I had no time for. Whatever it was, this should be the standard for elite parties from now on.

James Granville caught Fallon’s eye from his position next to the bar, and she lifted her hand in a wave. Instead of returning it, he said something to Cade and then began to weave his way through the crowd towards us.

“Zayde,” he greeted me with a nod.

“James.”

After giving me a hesitant smile, he turned his attention to my girlfriend. “Hey, Fal, can I talk to you for a minute?”

“Yeah, of course.” She reached up to press a kiss to the side of my face. “I’ll be back in a minute?”

“Take as long as you need, baby. I’ll get us some drinks.”

When I reached the bar, Winter threw her arms around my neck, pressing a kiss to my cheek. I hugged her back, my brows raised at her enthusiastic display of affection—and I realised that hugs were another thing that seemed to be happening more frequently. Fucking hell. I wasn’t going to turn into another Cassius, was I? All fucking ultrabright Cheshire cat grins and hugging everyone all the time.

No. Never gonna happen.

“Alright, Winter?” I caught Caiden’s eye over her shoulder, and he shrugged, smirking at me.

“I just wanted to say that I’m so happy for you. I love you, and I love Fallon, and I’m just so glad that you found your way back to each other.” Her voice lowered. “I used to worry about you. But you…you’re different now, aren’t you? Lighter.”

Oh. Fuck. I swallowed hard. “Uh, yeah. There’s ups and downs. But yeah, I’m happier.”

“Good. You deserve it.” She gave me another bright smile, and then I surprised her and Cade by first brushing a kiss across her cheek and then pulling my best mate into a hug.

“Happy for you, mate,” he said quietly.

“Yeah. You too.”

We glanced at each other and then both started laughing.

“Fucking hell. Our reputations as the aloof, unapproachable bad boys are completely fucked.” Caiden mock groaned as we stepped apart. “No one will fear us now.”

“Did anyone ever fear you?” Winter wondered aloud, her eyes dancing with amusement. Caiden shot her a warning look, which was ruined by the fact that he couldn’t stop fucking grinning.

“Snowflake. We’re the future of Alstone Holdings. One day, we’ll be the ones running this town. We have to cultivate our reputation as badass, cut-throat businessmen.”
