What would it be like to have all of them… at once or one after the other.

Was that even possible?

Would I be able to walk?

Between the thrust of Rome’s tongue and the push of Mickey’s cock, I lost the thread of it. But I’d come back to it.

To them.

If I wanted to know...

They’d help me.

And the unsteady sensation burst as I came again under the sensual assault, and the world kaleidoscoped.

By the time I made it to the shower, Mickey had to take it with me. Boneless and sated, I floated on a haze of pleasure.

CHAPTER36

EMERSYN

Astrangled sound had me snapping my eyes open. The hint of lights around the ceiling offered gloomy illumination to chase away the shadows but not so bright as to keep anyone awake. I was still boneless and more than gloriously sore. The sensual aches were right there waiting for me.

Warmth pressed against me, the steady thrum of a pulse under my hand. Smothering a yawn, I let my head drift back down to pillow against the muscle of Mickey’s chest when a sound erupted from him again. It was like a low, smothered cry swallowed in his sleep. If not for the vibration of his chest, I’d almost have thought it came from somewhere else.

I pushed up and set a hand on his chest, only he had his hand around my throat and pitched over on my back before I could do or say anything. Adrenaline surged through me, erasing any trace of sleep. The flex of his hand tightened a fraction. He wasn’t strangling me, but he wasn’t awake either. His eyes were open but almost blank.

Another sound escaped him, tortured and pained. The sound was so primal, tears sparked in my eyes. The heavy weight of him pressed me into the bed and his hand tightened but it was like a twitch of the muscles in his fingers—a reflex. A release and regathering of tension kept me still.

“Mickey—” I couldn’t finish the word as he closed his hand, cutting off my oxygen. I flattened a hand to his chest. Fear skated through me. Not for me. For him. I didn’t push him away, rubbing a slow circle against his breastbone. The contrasting textures between smooth and scarred skin grounding me.

He shuddered, his whole body jerking as his head snapped up, and then he blinked. Spots danced in front of my eyes.

“Fuck…” His hand opened and I sucked in air desperately even as Mickey threw himself off the bed. He slammed into the wall.

The world swam as I inhaled more air in me. I tried to call out to him, except the words weren’t coming out and the door slammed open. Jasper, with Vaughn only a half-step behind him, was just there.

Mickey didn’t wait for them to say anything, he bolted, shoving past them.

“Wait…” It was hard to talk. He hadn’t crushed my throat, but I still had some trouble getting everything working.

“Go,” Vaughn told Jasper, and Jasper cut a look at me then nodded before taking off after Mickey. Vaughn was in the room, scooping me right out of the bed. Sounds erupted from the sitting room as doors opened.

An alarm cut through the building. Mickey hadn’t deactivated it before going out. Tears pooled in my eyes as Vaughn set me on the bathroom counter.

“Shhh,” he crooned, touching two fingers to my chin and nudging my head up. “He’s going to be fine, Dove.”

“What happened?” Kellan asked, his blue eyes fierce and locked on me.

“Bad dream,” I managed as a hateful tear escaped.

“Bruised,” Vaughn said. “We should probably grab one of the ice packs—”

“I’ll get it,” Freddie said. Dammit, everyone was awake.

“Mickey?”

“Will be fine,” Kellan said. The confidence he projected with those three words helped. “Right now, I need to know how you are?”
