‘Sure, love?’

‘Yes!’

He surged back inside. Harlow arched her back as he plunged in. Then he moved, thrusting deeply, setting off parts inside her that he’d never done before. She twirled her hips, seeking relief. He worked her, and he felt her core electrify. The storm between her legs heightened, and she widened her legs, planting her heels further apart, arched more and whirled, moving her hips in a tantalising circle. She panted as she lost herself in sensation, in lush gratification.

She went first, gasping out her sweet release, her orgasm rocketing through every atom of her body.

Above her, Kage lost himself in her silken depths. He groaned as she Harlow rolled her hips so provocatively that he shattered into a beauty so unearthly he flew into Alphetraz and flamed in the depths of its astral light.

He slumped over her and wrapped his arms around her.

Sweat dripped off him in waves as he held on to her for life. He came down slowly, knowing he would never let Harlow go. He would live for her; he would breathe for her. For his life would be incomplete with her. He knew he would feel this love til the end of time.

Shattered, he rose unsteadily, slipping out of her.

He rolled over to the couch in his office. Where he fell heavily onto its cushions, his muscles wholly spent and molten as the pleasure he’d experienced still coursed through his veins.

Harlow turned on the desk and faced him.

Their eyes met, and she tentatively wobbled towards him, her legs still shaky. She slid on top of him, and he tucked her close as they fought to control their wildly beating hearts and ragged breath. His hand lazily stroked her back and thighs. They touched lips and murmured against each other until they finally fell still, wrapped in each other, totally spent.

The hush of the deserted Skylab finally broke through their comedown.

‘Woman, we’d better get out of here,’ Kage murmured into her neck.

‘What time is it?’

‘Way past 2300.’

‘The last shuttle was over an hour ago,’ Harlow said in a panic.

Kage’s chest rumbled with amusement. ‘Baby, do you think thekhanof this small establishment wouldn’t have override codes to summon the shuttle whenever he wants to?’

‘Of course,’ Harlow scorned. ‘How remiss of me to think otherwise.’

‘Love your snark. If I call it now, will you be ready to roll?’

‘Maybe. You might have to carry me. That action took out my legs.’

‘It’d be my pleasure. Soon as I get blood back up again to my brain.’

This time it was she who laughed.

Kage

It was close to midnight before they walked into the waiting shuttle that Kage had summoned from the surface.

They sprawled in the wide chairs, Harlow on top of Kage, his lips on her hair, their hands intertwined the entire flight.

The shuttle landed on the surface, and although both shattered, they managed to exit gracefully and get into the lifts at 517.

The compartment smoothly descended the extensive building’s floors before opening at Harlow’s suite.

Kage lazily straightened himself off the wall, then immediately snapped to attention, his head swivelling.

His metanoids flared with an instinctive warning.Something was very wrong.

He pulled a laser gun from his right boot so fast his body was a blur. Punched the lift kill button, he typed a flurry of commands into the panel beside it. A transparent force field rolled in place between the open doors.
