“I didn’t! I only told Griffin. He doesn’t count because he’s one of us.”

“Seriously?” That sounded like ridiculous logic.

“Gee, thanks,” Griffin teased.

“Fine! Make your shot.” I narrowed my eyes as I watched him swing the club, silently chanting bad mojo on his ball.

Damn! Dead through the pirate’s eye.

“You were saying?” Griffin taunted me with his hands on his hips.

“His name is Carson. He’s hot. Like, super hot. He was a perfect gentleman when he drove me home.”

“You’re such a liar, Ryan Middleton! You better spill the beans right now or I’ll give you all the details about my movie date that you didn’t ask for and don’t want to know. Like how Cyan put his—”

“Fine! Stop. Please don’t say any more. We may or may not have spent an hour getting to know each other better. And it may or may not have been the bestgetting to know yousession I’ve ever had. Satisfied?”

Griffin snickered. “Much better.”

An hour later, Reid was declared the champion. “I don’t wanna go home yet,” he complained. “Riley still isn’t home, and I'm having way too much fun.”

“Well, I have a chocolate mousse layer cake sitting on my kitchen island that I made fresh yesterday, if anyone wants to come over and have some.” The last thing we needed was more sugar and chocolate, but everyone said yes.

We arrived at my condo, and Griffin immediately floated toward the view of the city outside the sliding glass doors while I went to the kitchen to plate the cake.

“This view is amazing!” Griffin exclaimed, fascinated by the glittering skyline.

“It really is. You should see it during a lightning storm. It’s the coolest thing ever,” I called out.

“You could probably see it better if Ryan would just clean this glass,” Reid teased as I carried the plates into the dining room. He leaned forward, squinting his eyes to inspect a cloudy spot on the glass. I set the plates down on the dining table.

Griffin followed his lead, scratching at the spot. “Is that cum?”

“What?” I was mortified, realizing in that moment that it probably, most likely, wasdefinitelycum.

“No way,” Reid defended.

I stayed quiet, my face heating like the inside of a volcano.

“No, it’s definitely cum. Trust me, I live with Cyan. I usually find cum on every surface of our apartment when I’m cleaning. I’m familiar with what it looks like when it’s dried.”

He turned to me, a wicked smile breaking out across his face. “You dirty dog. You left out the part about getting railed against the glass door while the entire city of Cooper’s Cove watched you take it.”

I gasped and ended up choking on the sound, which was embarrassingly comical and telling. “They definitely cannot see up this high!”

Reid and Griffin dissolved into a fit of giggles. I was busted. After a moment of mortification, I laughed along with them. “Well, I did mention it was incredible, didn’t I?”

Reid pointed to the spotted glass. “He certainlycameto your rescue.”

We laughed so hard we cried and made every single joke about cum we could think of. I was glad I let Reid drag me off the couch tonight. I wouldn’t have missed this for anything.
