He chuckles and leans forward, his shirt dropping to land behind him on the chair. “That so? What makes you think that?”

“Not sure. Something in the way you carry yourself I guess.”

“I can carry myself even while sitting.”

“Oh, I’m sure a lot can happen when you’re sitting,” I say boldly.

His eyebrows lift. “That so?” he asks, echoing my words.

I laugh slightly. I’m a flirt. I’ll admit it, but usually, it’s with guys I’ve known for years. Flirting doesn’t mean the same to me as it does with other people. It’s usually a way for me to let a guy know I like him at least as a friend. Not necessarily as a romantic partner.

But this here? All of this flirting is sexually charged, and I am here for it.

Right? Am I really? I’ve never had a one-night stand before, but if this guy were to make a move, would I be willing?

I mean, I encouraged my mom to do just this, but for me? I don’t know, but the whole point of a one-night stand on a cruise ship is no strings attached.

I can handle no strings attached, can’t I?

I rub my neck and then let my fingers curl around the top string of my bikini. His gaze is heavy on me, and he’s watching my every move.

Do I want to make the first move? Am I really that daring?

On the very first night of the cruise? No, that’s way too soon. We can talk and flirt for now. I don’t know this guy. I don’t even know his name.

“Do you think a lot can happen when I stand?” he asks.

I step back to give him room, but he’s tall and takes up a lot of space. We’re not touching, but I have to tilt my head way back to look up at him. He’s got at least a foot on me.

I’ve always loved tall guys. All guys are taller than I am, given how short I am, but guys over six feet make me weak in the knees.

His smirk is sexy as all hell.

“Standing? Sure, but on your back might be better.”

“That so?” He chuckles.

I run a hand through my still soaking wet hair and splatter droplets on him. “Sorry. I need a towel.”

“Are you sure a towel is what you need?” he asks as he reaches over and grabs his shirt.

I suck in a breath. “Who doesn’t mind being a little wet?”

“I certainly don’t mind if my fingers get a little wet,” he says.

My eyes widen.

He laughs. “Too far?”

"Not yet but you're treading deep waters."

The guy laughs some more. “Gotcha. Are you having fun?”

“I am. You?”

He wrinkles his nose. “I aim to.”

“So you aren’t so far?”
