Turning to face her, my jaw hit the floor. She looked like it wrapped her in milk chocolate, which complimented her deep fur tone. Some sexy heels made her taller - and damn, were her legs toned! A crazy, big, brimmed hat helped hide her face.

“Pricilla? Are you nervous about going out?”

“I am. I hate big crowds. I hate loud. But I really want to see where we live.”

“I promise to protect you.”

“I trust you.”

We headed out for a day of fun after I gave her my arm.

Pricilla

Frank flagged a small cloud chariot over and opened the door for me. I’d never been treated as a lady, or even been on a date. Being with him made everything brighter and more beautiful.

The blue of the sky seemed brighter being so close to it, and the warmth of the sun felt amazing against my skin. Our yard had bright green grass, and off to the side, a partially dead beanstalk.

“Is that where the gnomes came up?” I pointed to it and tilted my head to see his face.

“Gods, yes.” He shook his head. “It’ll take about another two weeks for it to die completely.

I laughed and looked around at the flowers in the beds decorating the outside. “You love flowers?”

“I do. I enjoy tending to my garden.”

“Will you teach me?” I pressed my lips together and bounced in the seat beside him.

He took my hand in his, letting his thumb stroke the top of my hand. “I’ll teach you anything I know. And what I don’t? We can learn together.”

I swooned and leaned into him. “I’m ready to go.”

He gave the driver a nod, and the chariot took off. “This is a good way to travel in Cloud City. It’s gentle and relaxing. If you need to be somewhere in a hurry, a chariot of the gods is the way to go. There’s also just walking, but I admit I want to keep you close and relax.”

“This is lovely, Frank.” The gentle sway of the chariot calmed my nerves that were rearing their ugly heads and I found myself in awe over the different homes they had up here.

They were all large, of course, but the shapes, styles, textures and yards all varied. Frank leaned forward and told the driver something, then sat back with me again, smiling.

The driver took us over to Mount Olympus and the great golden gates were more beautiful than anything I dreamed they’d be. Standing on the steps, Aphrodite stood with Ares.

“Frank! I never would’ve seen this if not for you!”

He lifted our hands and pressed a kiss to my wrist, while he pointed out all the little things he loved about being in the clouds and I could see the beauty in it all. From the weeds to the flowers and birds.

There were no predators up here. Cloud City stood to be the most secure, fabulous place. The Gods and Goddesses lived up here with the giants making it the best of the best.

When the cloud pulled up to the building that housedShimmering Hammer Style, I thought I had died and gone to heaven!

The glass walls shimmered, displays in the windows showed all the latest trends, and there were even smaller windows showing off Vincent’s creations! It was beautiful!

“Hammer Furniture is on the ground floor. Style is on the second floor, and Shimmering Jewels is the third. Then all offices are above that.”

“This is amazing. Have your families always been connected?”

“They have.” He helped me from the cloud. “I need to take care of something in my office. Would you like to come with me, or maybe check out the shops?”

I trembled a bit. The thought of being alone scared me, but I didn’t want to make Frank look at every little thing, either.

“How about I look around and if I get too nervous, I will come find you?”
