I imagined he could get me to do anything, sayanything with those fingers alone.

Cade’s voice was soft and warm against my ear when he spoke next.“We don’t want you to hide anything from us.”

“Nothing,” Jamie added, his breath hot against my pussy.

Finally, I sighed and pulled up my sweatshirt just high enough that Jamie could read the title page of the script.

“A movie?” he asked.

“Themovie,” I said. “If I were to landthis role, itwould be huge for my career.” I sighed. “Ten to one, though, I’ll find some way to screw it up like I always do.”

“Whoa,whoathere, lassie.”

“Just breathe, Tessa.” Cade laid a hand over my heart. “Let’s start with just breathing.”

I sat there between them and tried to control my breathing. But it continued to come out in raspy sputters and I threw my hands up in the air. “I can’t,” I moaned, still breathless. “I just can’t.” I pushed myself up from the couch, disentangling myself from Jamie and Cade, then stalked back and forth in front of the coffee table.

“Why don’t I make us some tea?” Cade finally said. He hurried off toward the kitchen.

Jamie drummed his fingers on the couch.“Let’s put on some music, eh?”

I could use the distraction of music so I pointed toward my bedroom.“There arespeakers in there.”

Jamie disappeared as Cade opened and closed cabinets, scrounging around for what I assumed was a tea kettle and tea bags.

“Uh, no tea,” I admitted.

He glanced over his shoulder. “Lemons?”

I shook my head.

“Limes?”

“Do I look like Whole Foods?”

Cade frowned. “Whatdoyou have?”

I shrugged. “Vodka.”

He checked his watch.

“It’s kind of early, so maybe—”

“And orange juice.”

“Perfect,” he said, and grinned.

A few minutes later, the three of us sat in a circle on my bed, each staring at the script laid in the center as we sipped our screwdrivers and listened to the surprisingly soothing music Jamie played from his phone.

“Maybe we could just look at the first page?” Cade asked.

I glanced at him and shook my head. “I don’t think so. Too much pressure on the first lines.”

“A random page, then?” Jamie suggested, flipping open the script to the middle before I could stop him.

“We’ll each read a line,” Cade said. “No pressure.”

“I don’t know, guys. Maybe we should just—”
