“I’m coming, I’m… I’m coming,” I warned in broken pants, my breasts bouncing freely as I arched my back.

“Yes, come for me. I want you to come for me.” Luca shifted his hands to the middle of my back for added support as I lost more and more control of my body.

Ecstasy had taken over, and I let it overwhelm every single one of my senses.

The wave grew, building with each of Luca’s maddening thrusts, until eventually… finally… it crashed over me. My climax wracked my body, sending me into convulsive shudders as my pussy clenched tightly around his cock, pulsing as it pulled Luca over the edge after me.

He buried his face between my breasts to muffle his cries of pleasure, his own body joining mine in fits of ecstasy.

“Don’t move. Don’t… move…” Luca mumbled into my chest, unable to even lift his head as he went through the last shudders of his climax.

I ran my fingers gently through his hair and placed a kiss to the top of his head.

“I’m not going anywhere,” I said.

Chapter 13

Luca

Iheardthedoorbellring and knew it was Christopher. He was half an hour early, in typical Christopher fashion. But I wasn’t going to give him hell for it the way I usually did. I thought back to what I’d been doing with his sister and realized that I’d stop giving him hell about a lot of things.

I stoked the fire in my study and went to sit back down in my vintage leather armchair where I’d been nursing a whiskey. The voices in the hallway told me Christopher was charming Maria as they made their way to me in the study. He was that kind of guy, the guy everyone loved. How he ended up being best friends with someone like me was a mystery.

I wasn’t the nice guy. I was the friend who fucked your sister when you weren’t looking.

“Ready to hit the road?” Christopher beamed at me from the doorway.

Maria peeked out from behind him, throwing her hands in the air. “He wouldn’t wait in the living room like you asked.”

I smiled and waved her off. “I didn’t expect him to; it’s okay.”

She laughed and clapped him lovingly on the back as she left. Christopher waited for her to close the door before coming over to take up the armchair opposite me.

“I didn’t know there’d be pre-drinks.” He motioned to my glass.

I shrugged. “Long day.”

“Want to talk about it?” Christopher asked without hesitation.

If he were more of a dick then it would be easier to keep secrets from him. Especially the one I had hidden in the depths of my heart. Scarlett. I had turned every possible scenario over in my head that day and came up empty every single time. There was no getting around it—the truth would destroy our friendship.

“Just work stuff.” I handed him an empty glass. “Join me.”

Christopher took the glass but placed it back on the table between our armchairs. “I already called a cab,” he said, getting up. “It’ll be here any minute.”

I sighed heavily and stared into the flames dancing in front of me. I had to pull it together, or it would be too easy for him to guess something else was going on with me.

“Drink up, boy.” Christopher waved his finger at me. “You’re going to make us late for all the fun we’re about to have.”

I shook my head with a laugh and downed my drink. “Leave it to you to have fun on a schedule.”

“Hey, I have a pregnant wife at home who’s probably going to make me sleep on the couch if I get home after curfew,” he said, handing me my jacket. “You better believe I’m going to keep this fun train moving. All the way into my woman’s bed.”

I slung my arm around his shoulders as we made our way out of the study. “You’re almost fifty. Grown men don’t have curfews.”

Christopher bellowed a fake laugh that vibrated through me. “You’d think that, my friend. But I’ll let you in on a secret… Grown men definitely have curfews, if they’re married.”

“Ah.” I touched my finger to my nose.
