So, he wanted me to come with him because…he just wanted that? This man was such an enigma and I wasn’t sure if I liked that or wanted to scream.

When I got off, I headed for my jalopy. I put the parking pass on there, and then I pulled out. When I got to the D block garage, I realized the entire place had a reader and everything.

I fumbled with the D-block parking pass, and the machine scanned it. I half-expected him to give me a bad pass, but it flashed green.

I went inside. The place was huge, but only one other car was there right now. I looked at the pass, noting the spot location was D-30.

So, right next to Aaron, I suppose. I pulled up and parked there. When I got out, the elevator at the end opened up, and Aaron was there. He had on his black jacket and briefcase. My eyes lingered around, and then they focused on him.

“Well, you made it. I hope the directions weren’t too terrible,” he said.

“They weren’t. But why did you want me to park here?’ I asked.

“Simple. This place is only used by me, and nobody comes in here without reason. You need a pass to do this. Your car will be safe here if you’d like to keep it here for the weekend,” he offered.

Wait, we were going to spend the weekend together? My eyes widened at the sudden offer.

“Wait, now we’re spending the weekend together?” I said.

“Of course. I thought it’d be good for both of us,” he said.

I blushed, “All right…that’s fine, just surprised me. I just thought it’d be night. That’s all.”

He opened the car, and I slipped inside. It was such a fancy car, and I couldn’t help but blush as I sank onto my seat.

He had so much money. Emily’s dad was loaded, sure, but I was going home with him for a not-so-innocent reason.

“Relax a little bit, will you? I don’t bite,” he said.

“You keep saying that” I muttered.

He looked at me and scoffed. “Well, I’m not right now. Anyways, get strapped in, and let’s go.”

He didn’t utter another word, and instead, we took off. He got right on the highway, and I watched the edges of the city pass by in the distance.

“We’re pretty far out,” I told him.

“Just along the perimeter. This place is not going to be in the heart of the city for a reason,” he replied with an almost-sardonic tone.

“Right.”

We didn’t say another word to one another for a good ten minutes until he pulled off the highway. After that, the houses turned into mansions, and when we stopped in front of the biggest one on the block, I watched Aaron get his keycard out.

He swiped it, and the gates opened up.

“A keycard for the gates?”

“That or retinal scan, but that can get hard at night. You have to protect the place, you know,” he said.

I wondered what might happen if I came here alone. I didn’t know what to say. I looked around, watching the car go up the massive driveway to the garage. When we got inside, he stopped the car.

“Come,” he barked.

I followed him, unable to say a word. The whole time I was just looking around the place.

It was huge! I thought he had a decent place back when I was a kid, but this was different. Aaron was rich sure, but he didn’t have this type of place. Then again, if I remember back when I was younger, he was a hospital manager, not the whole owner of the place.

We walked into a large foyer and then an even larger living room.
