Jason leads me into the house and to the sitting room where Maximus and Sean are both pacing around. As soon as we enter both turn towards me and the look on their face is one of pure relief.

“Is she there?” I hear Christian’s voice and realise he is looking through the computer screen. Maximus rushes and sweeps me up in a bear hug, burying his face into my neck as I wrap my arms around him.

“Thank fuck you are okay,” he growls against me. I can hear Jason somewhere in the room talking to Christian, reassuring him that I’m there, but I can't move from Maximus, who is still clinging to me like a lifebuoy. It feels as if he’s scared to let me go.

“Maximus let the poor girl breathe,” Sean sighs as he stands beside us and places a hand on his twin’s arm. Maximus lets me go and Sean pulls me straight to him.

“You okay princess?” he asks kissing my cheek before stepping back. I nod as I feel Maximus’s hand on my back leading me towards the sofas. I go to sit down but Maximus pulls me to him and forces me to sit on his lap. I instantly curl into him as he wraps his arms around me.

“Baby girl, are you okay?” I turn and look at the laptop screen and see Christian looking pale.

“What happened?” I ask as I look around at my four Daddies. Maximus’s hold tightens on me as he places a kiss on the top of my head.

“I received a message with a picture attached to it. It was a girl with long brown hair tied up, it looked just like you sweetheart. I could even see your birthmark.” I pull away from Maximus and frown at the computer screen.

“But why? What would be the point in sending a fake picture like that?”

“We don’t know anything other than the person wanted to get Christian worked up,” Sean says as he sits on the other sofa.

“How is that even possible for someone to look like me, and have the same birthmark?”

“That’s what we would like to know,” Christian says through the screen. He has been away from home for three days seeing to some business. Something about damage to one of their clubs, but they haven’t told me the ins and outs, so I haven’t asked.

“Are you coming home tonight?” I ask as I look at the screen, Christian shakes his head before sitting back in his seat.

“No, sorry baby girl. I need to stay here another night. I would do anything to come home though.” I look at his face and know he’s telling the truth. He will hate being away whilst something is going on. “How many people know about your birthmark?” he asks as he takes a sip of his bottled water.

I shake my head as I shrug.

“It’s not like I’ve hidden it. You can see it whenever I wear strap tops,” I point out. Christian nods as he runs a hand over his face. “The fact that they made sure to pick someone with similar features and a birthmark on the right shoulder tells me the person who sent it knows you well, or they have been watching you.”

My body starts to shake again at the thought of being watched.

“Is the girl in danger? Have they taken her thinking it was me? Or is it staged?” I ask praying it’s not a case of mistaken identity. The thought of someone else being harmed just because they look like me makes me feel sick to my stomach.

“There’s no way to tell, angel. Terry is going over the photo now, but it’s not of great quality. It’s like it’s taken on an old phone,” Jason answers.

“What if it’s someone they think is me? You can’t leave her to get hurt!” I curl back up into Maximus’s arms and rest against his chest.

“We won’t, if we can get to her we will. The chances are they know it’s not you, and it’s staged to try and scare us,” Christian says before letting out a deep breath. I bury my face into Maximus’s top as a sob leaves my chest.

“Oh shorty, don’t cry,” Maximus sighs as he holds me to him.

“Is she crying?” I hear Christian asks. There is a hint of anger in his voice. Maximus nods his head before kissing my hair.

“Fuck this shit, I’m coming home!” Christian declares. I can hear the others telling him he needs to stay there but he starts shouting.

“If the fire officers need me they have my number or they can email me. I’m not staying here when she is so scared she’s fucking crying! I’m coming home and we are going to find out what the fuck is going on!” I sit up and move out of Maximus’s arms and kneel on the floor turning the laptop so Christian can see me.

“I’m okay Daddy, stay there. I’m just being silly.” As much as I want him home I know he would only be away if he was really needed.

“Baby, say the word and I will get in the car now and will be home in four hours. I don’t give a shit about the crap here, I only care about you.” I look into his eyes and force a small smile.

“I have three Daddies here to keep me safe. I’m okay, do what you need to do and come home tomorrow if you can. But don’t come home just because I’m being stupid.”

“You are not being stupid, baby girl; you have every right to be scared and upset. I swear to you when I find out who it is that sent that picture they will pay,” he promises and I nod, as I do not doubt in my mind he will always defend me.

“I know Daddy, go and do what you need to do and call me when you are free next. I miss you.” Christian smiles at me as his eyes lighten a little.
