“Jazzy, we’re trained fighters as well as always armed. But even on days like today I have security with me and there’s always someone on duty in the house,” Jason explains, but I’m determined, and I won’t back down over this. I look at Jason and know that if I can win him around, he’ll help with Christian.

“Today when he held a knife to my throat, I had no idea what to do, how to protect myself or fight back. I don’t want to feel that helpless again.” I look deep into Jason’s eyes and let the tear come to the front. “Please, Daddy, just teach me to defend myself.” I watch Jason’s face soften and know I can get him on side. He looks up at Christian.

“No!”

“She has a point Christian,” Jason starts but Christian shakes his head.

“No. She’ll have extra security,” he starts but I hear Sean sigh loudly.

“For crying out loud,” Sean exclaims as he looks at me. “If you want to learn to defend yourself, I will teach you myself,” he starts and looks at Christian. “She has a right to learn self-defence and I for one would feel better knowing she could do something to protect herself.”

I look back at Christian and try to hide the smile that is threatening to burst onto my face. I quickly pull my lips between my teeth and wait. I watch as his shoulders slump and he rubs his face.

“Fine.”

I jump out of Maximus’s arms and go to rush to Christian only for my twisted ankle to go underneath me. Jason and Christian both catch me as I curse loudly. Christian takes some of my weight and looks at me with that Daddy look he has perfected.

“Oops,” I whisper as I smile at him sweetly.

“Thirty. I want you in my room at the time I tell you, waiting. You are spending tonight with me,” he warns, I feel my shoulders slump in defeat as I let out a deep breath.

“Okay, Daddy.”

“Good girl,” he smiles, and I instantly feel my stomach tighten with excitement, damn it. He looks down at me and I can see he knows exactly what he does to me.

“Are you going to come into the office with me so I can keep an eye on you? Or are you going to your room?” he asks.

“Your office,” I reply as he nods before scooping me up into his arms.

“Come on then you can rest whilst I make a few phone calls,” he says before looking at his brothers.

“You all know where and what you got to do?” They nod and take turns kissing me before disappearing to do things I don’t think I want to know about.

I lean into Christian as he carries me into the office.

“Have I caused problems?” I ask as Christian places me on the sofa and pulls a throw from the back to place over me.

“Not at all. This is all on Tommy, Hudson, and his boss,” Christian says as he sits on the coffee table in front of the sofa. I turn on my side so I can look at him.

“He hasn’t scared me off from our relationship,” I say as I look up at Christian who is leaning on his knees.

“He should have, but I’m glad you’re seeing that you are stronger than you’ve believed for a long time.”

“I’ve got four amazing Daddies who are making me see it,” I reply smugly. Christian drops down to his knees and presses a kiss to my lips.

“I’m glad to hear it. We love you so much baby girl and you gave us a real fright today. Hudson will pay for what he did to you,” Christian whispers.

“Why did you blame Daddy Jason?”

Christian looks down for a moment before letting out a sigh and standing up.

“Lift your head a minute.”

I do as I’m told, and he sits down before telling me to place my head on his lap. I feel him instantly place a hand on my head and start running a hand over it avoiding the injury.

“Hudson was the first fighter Jason ever trained. Jason put everything into his development. He paid for his accommodation, his bills, everything. He was sure he would be the next big fighter and for a while he was. Jason had Terry train him in security to keep him off the streets and on the straight and narrow. Hudson wanted the darker side of life though; he liked the power and the respect Jason and I get when we walk into a room.

“Then one fight, after he won, he was offered a chance to fight for more money in another fight just a month after. Hudson wanted to take it, but Jason said no. He said it was too soon and he wasn’t as strong as the other fighter. Hudson argued and argued, but Jason wouldn’t back down. That was when Taylor approached him and told Hudson that Jason was holding him back that he had no faith in him and that if he went to work for Taylor he would get bigger fights and more money. Taylor also gave him the chance to do what he wanted and to walk with the big boys, so Hudson took it. One day he stopped turning up to training and Jason couldn’t get hold of him. Eventually, he learnt what had happened and he tried to give Hudson a way out. Hudson refused all help and went with Taylor.”
