“Do you want to tell me where the fuck I fit into this little plan of yours? We had a deal; you help me get access to their money again and I back all your new ventures. You better not be double-crossing me, Taylor.”

Taylor laughs as he shakes his head. “Why do you think I’m keeping her alive? I don’t plan on you having access to their money. I plan on killing all four of them and taking everything they have,” Taylor smiles as he looks at me. My blood runs cold and I feel physically sick. “You’re the only thing that will distract all four of them enough for me to take them out. One. By. One.”

I start to rise from my seat, but Hudson places a hand on my shoulder and pushes me back into the chair whilst growling a warning for me to listen.

“Once they are all dead, do you know who gets everything? The money, clubs, houses, right down to the clothes on their backs?” I shake my head as Taylor smirks before looking back at Tommy. “Her. Jasmine is to inherit everything they have; you are to get nothing; the paperwork has already been filed.”

“This was never part of the deal, Taylor. You will not kill my boys!” Tommy yells. I’ve never seen Tommy act like a father before. But now I see a side of him I always secretly hoped existed. Those boys mean something to him, it might not be the love they deserve but it’s something, nevertheless.

“Do you really think you will be able to stop me? You are nothing without me, and you know it.” Taylor growls before his back straightens. “Actually, I’ve got all I need from you.” A gunshot rings through the room causing my mother and me to scream. I look at Tommy as he slides down the wall to the floor, his eyes staring at my mum, unblinking with a hole in his chest. I’m struck dumb, my eyes fill with tears as I stare at the guys father dead. All I can think is how much this is going to kill them. They’ve said they are done with him but he is still their father.

“I've got to go and show face to these morons. Need to keep them sweet until we are ready to make our next move,” Taylor announces as if nothing just happened. I thought Tommy and him had been friends for years. Yet he just watched his friend die and didn’t even blink.

He places a hand on my mother’s shoulder. "Do you want to have this chat with her now or later?” Mum looks at me and shrugs. Apart from the initial shock of the gunfire, Mum seems unfazed by Tommy’s death. She was married to the man for just short of three years! What the hell is wrong with these people?

“I’ll come back later; it’s not like we won’t have time.” She stands up and takes the arm Taylor holds out for her. He looks over his shoulder to Hudson.

“Leave her untied, she isn’t going anywhere. Get him moved though. I don’t want him stinking the place out.” With that Taylor turns and walks out of the room with my mother.

“Get in here and help me move this prick!” Hudson shouts as he moves away from me and towards Tommys body. The guy who watched me shower before comes in carrying a plastic sheet. The realisation hits me then. They planned on killing him today, they had everything in place.

I can’t stop the sob that leaves my body as they pick him up and throw him on the sheet before rolling it up and taping it to ensure no blood leaks out. Wrapping him like a piece of shit their dog has left behind. It’s wrong. He was a human being, a father. He may not have been a decent one, but he must have loved his boys deep down. I’m sure of it.

As Hudson and the other guy move the body a third comes in with a bucket, towels and brush. Hudson turns to me.

“Clean that blood up if you want to eat for the next week!” he snarls. I stand up and shake my head.

“You killed him you fucking clean it you piece of shit!” I yell, my temper getting the best of me. Hudson and the guy lower Tommys body and he launches himself at me. I fall backwards and hit my head on the edge of the bed. I bring my knees up to push him away from me, as I throw my arms up wanting to punch him, scratch him, anything just to get him off me. But one of his friends grabs my arms and pins them down above my head. Hudson pins me to the floor and hits me hard, I feel my nose break as my eyes burn. His other friend grabs my flailing legs and pins them to the floor.

“Do as you are fucking told! I’ve had enough of your answering back! You carry on with this shit and I will fuck you up, do you understand?!” he roars as shoves his hand down my leggings and thrusts two fingers into me making me scream as I feel pain like I have never felt before.

“This is mine now, I will fucking take it whenever I fucking want! The more you answer back the harder I will be on you. Do you understand me?” he growls as he thrusts his fingers deeper into me and I cry out again. “Next time it will be my cock and you will take it like the good little slut you are!” he leans his head down “You can forget all about the O’Reilly’s. From now on I own you. I say who fucks you and when. I don’t care how fucking much they hurt you.” He thrusts his fingers into me again before pulling them out. He holds them up for me to see a small amount of blood on them. The smile that spreads across his face is something that will haunt my nightmares for years to come. Hudson turns to the other guy.

“I love it when they bleed,” he growls before sticking the fingers into his mouth and sucking off the blood. He climbs off me as his friends let my arms and legs go. I instantly curl into the foetal position as I cry. “Get that blood cleaned up before I get back. Or your blood will be joining it.” He throws the towels on me before heading back to Tommys body.

“Fucking move it!” he screams and I scramble to my knees and crawl over to the blood. There’s so much of it, I grab a towel and place it over the blood, as I hear them carrying out Tommys body.

“See, women are just like dogs. All you need to do is show the bitch whose boss and she’ll do as she’s told,” I hear him laugh before the door closes.

As soon as it clicks closed, I break down. I cry harder than I have in ages. My crotch is throbbing and I feel dirtier than I’ve ever felt before. I grab a clean towel and hold it to my face before I scream into it. Unable to hold back the tears as I cry out over and over again. I’m still gasping for air unable to stop the tears when I spot something just hidden behind the chest of drawers beside me. I look around to check I’m alone and have a closer look. I pull the object out and realise it’s Tommys mobile. Did he leave it here on purpose? Was this what he was doing when I saw him messing with his trousers? Did he know he was going to die and wanted me to have a way to warn his sons? I look around and quickly shove the phone back behind the chest of drawers out of sight but within reach. I wipe at my face and quickly get about cleaning up the blood, whilst plotting how I can get word to the guys. I need to make sure to do it right, otherwise, Hudson and Taylor may realise and move me. then the guys will never find me, and Taylor will kill them quicker.

Knowing I have that phone hidden away gives me a new lease of strength, one I don’t plan on letting Hudson break. I just have to bide my time but there is light at the end of this very long dark tunnel.

Jason

What the hell did Christian think this meeting was going to achieve? We are no closer to finding Jasmine, and no one has any new leads. Taylor has offered more help but something about the way he's acting seems off. I can't put my finger on it but he seems too eager to help us find her.

I sit back in my chair and rub the bridge of my nose. I'm exhausted. Actually, I’m past exhausted but there’s no way I could sleep whilst my Jazzy is out there, having god only knows what done to her.

“I think it's time to call it a night, gentlemen.”

I look up at Christian who looks even more tired than me. I don’t think he has had an ounce of sleep since she was taken and it’s showing. I don’t know who blames themselves more, all of us feel like we are to blame. Maximus because he hired Trent. Christian because he feels he failed her. Me for letting Hudson live when I should have killed him years ago, and Sean who fears he hasn’t trained her enough. Either way, we all let her down the moment she was taken.

I stand up with the others as they start to leave.

“Jason, can I have a quick word?” I turn to see Geralt looking up at me. I nod and lean back against the wall whilst he puts his coat on and checks his phone. I notice he keeps looking up as if to see who is still in the room. Christian looks at me and frowns as he sees the last two guys out of the door. I nod towards Geralt and Christian lifts his head in acknowledgement before leaving the room. Geralt looks around as if to make sure no one else is left here before turning his back to the table and leaning against it.
